Loved every second of it, and it was a reasonably long game too so that's saying something (my attention wanders and so if I actually manage to complete something, it's worth taking note of). Lovely graphics with a pretty long draw distance here and there which really gave a sense of real depth to this strange world. Lots of collectables and secrets with quite a few nice fights thrown in too. A bit difficult to judge some of the jumps because of the perspective, made even worse because I had to use keyboard because the game wouldn't recognise my gamepad. Beautiful game.
My God this game really is so very bad that it really is quite good. For instance: the main character's voice changes for no reason at all. Rigid, linear corridors and tiny boxy levels full of invisible walls. Long loading times even now. Poor performance. Laughable story that makes no sense. Confusing mechanics so that you're never quite sure which gun does what or what mode to use or why you are picking up THAT shiny thing and not the other one (very little is explained to you). But ... the whole thing is at least a long game where you can literally blow people up and the graphics, if not performance, are pretty darn good. In short, the entire thing is embarrassing, silly but still fun.
This adds more of everything to the game. It does not feel tacked on or held back or expensive. In fact, it feels like a throwback to the old days of physical expansion packs in actual boxes (remember those). In short, this makes the game longer and adds more depth via agents, missions, pick-ups and things to do. I loved the main game (even though a bit short, but it was designed to be replayed so not as bad as it sounds) and I loved this pack too.
What a lovely strategy game! Easy to get to grips with in the short term, tense and involving in the long. It's also nice to hear the English accent for once, or any accent at all really other than the one we're all used to. The game is not the very longest but then it is a sort of Rogue-like and is meant to be played more than once anyway (and you can unlock new agents when you do). Very recommended.
