It is truly difficult to express how advanced and sublime this game is. Very advanced gameplay with immersive sim elements as well as truly dark and moody atmosphere. System Shock 2 is really just something you have to experience to understand. Building of the Dark Engine (used in the Thief games), System Shock 2 is a masterpiece in storytelling, philosophy, environments, gameplay systems, art, music, etc. Truly a worthy sequel that improves upon everything that the original did way back in 1994. This game still hasn't been bettered twenty four years later in its execution.
Empire Earth 2 is an amazing RTS and definitely among the greatest of all time. Whilst I would not say it is as good as the original Empire Earth, it is not that far off. The scope of Empire Earth 2 is smaller in terms of epochs/eras as well as units, but there is more detail per eras/epochs as well as units and overall a bit more depth to the strategy options. It is still a masterpiece of an RTS though and easily in the top ten ever made for me. If you love Empire Earth, Age Of Empires, Rise Of Nations and the like then you will definitely love Empire Earth 2. Just steer clear of Empire Earth 3, what a disaster.
Such a special game to me and one that is very unique. A western take on the JRPG genre with such an incredibly unique world, amazing music and atmosphere as well as very solid storytelling and characters.
Empire Earth is a masterpiece of a game and sadly very overlooked in the RTS landscape. It is by far (and I mean this) the most ambitious RTS ever made spanning over twenty eras/epochs of human history with in-depth units on all battlefronts (sea, land and air). The scope of the game is just insane and there are many different civilizations to play. think of Empire Earth as Age Of Empires on steroids then times that by an order of magnitude. I fell in love with Empire Earth and between the absolute crazy scale, awesome campaigns and active passionate communities you have a masterpiece RTS game.

Thief 1 and 2 though are far superior with some of the most incredible technology developed in its time (and even still today) to provide the greatest stealth game experience. Still today, these games are essentially unmatched in the simulation capabilities, atmosphere, intricacy and gameplay uniqueness. Just legendary games through and through.

Even though Thief - Deadly Shadows was also plagued by the "console-ification" virus, it is actually an awesome game with great atmosphere and gameplay. Not nearly as good as the original two of course, but still a very good game and I would say a worthy sequel.
The most charming and nostalgic of the Elder Scrolls games. This is a real RPG where you have to use your head with no quest markers or "points of interest". A real old-school RPG with awesome senses of exploration and quite deep roleplaying opportunities. Morrowind is such a cool setting in Elder Scrolls as well. Overall, a brilliant game from the golden era...before horse armor (ironically from Bethesda).
The STALKER games (the original trilogy) are masterpieces. Simple as that. Yes, the budgets were not that high, and bugs were present, but the soul of these games are just incredible, and the bugs/issues have been resolved by the incredibly passionate community. The STALKER games are the most atmospheric games that I have ever played (and I have played many games) with such incredible world design and environmental story telling. To understand the STALKER games, think of Fallout meets Deus Ex meets Far Cry set in the Chernobyl area of Ukraine with subtle supernatural elements made by actual Ukraine developers for extra authenticity and heavily inspired by the movie STALKER (which is in turn inspired by the novel "A Roadside Picnic"). There are just no other games like the STALKER games. The games are so unique: melancholic, philosophical, noir, artistic, fun, exploratory, action-packed, RPG, just everything in one that "just works". The games are ridiculously addictive and engrossing with tight gameplay and perfect pacing/scope. The trilogy is in my top five games of all time (having played close to 35 years of many many games). The passion of the communities for these games is also astronomical and totally rightfully so. STALKER - Anomaly and many other STALKER mods are always pretty much the most popular mods on ModDB and there are such incredible communities built around these games. It is extremely difficult to put into words what experiencing STALKER (especially the original Shadow Of Chernobyl for the first time) is like, it is magical and something so unique. Just pure masterpieces born from passionate developers and so different from traditional "western games" so to speak. Like so different, but still familiar...difficult to put into words. Those other fellow STALKERS that "get it" know that once the Zone has you...it never lets you go, and few other games ever make you feel and have an experience like the STALKER trilogy.
