Alien Breed: Impact

Fun gunplay, hard to control

I really enjoyed playing through the game, with every level introducing a new gun and enemies. The setting of the game is good, and i appreciate the look and feel of the comics, wich are used to tell you the story between every level. Now I'll start with the bad: the camera is awful, at least in the first levels, where you have to learn a lot to just start using it, if you are using the keybord there is a fix to auto-aim with your mouse (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=663505110) but I used a controller, which for me It's better for this type of games. The devs thought that explosions and shaking the camera every second was a great addition to the game... It wasn't. Also there is the chanche that you'll get stuck at certain points in the game, and you'll have to reload or kill yourself. They also removed the online features like co-op and leaderboards, and there is no LAN or split-screen mode. In the end It's a good experience but be prepared to be frustrated with the controls.

Tomb Raider: Anniversary

What a remake!

The developers made a fantastic job when remaking the original from scratch, using the new engine of the first reboot trilogy: it aged really well, and supports widescreen, high resolutions and framerate(*). The story was expanded from the original, and they added new zones full of never seen details; the animations are awesome, and shadows are a bit glithcy. Recommended for new players but also veterans of the serie! *make sure to disable fullscreen effects or the horrible motion blur will really damage your eyes, and the physics is still capped at 60 FPS in some instances, so if the game doesn't go on in cutscenes you now why now

Road 96

Great story and art direction

The art direction is awesome, with memorable characters and a really in depth story, but the problem is that it seems too much fast sometimes, with some cuts here and there to just make you pass to the next level. For now i only played the game once but for what i saw seems that not all the choices you make are important, only in the endings with the various characters. A really fun activity was finding all the collectibles but, in my opinion, there could be more, because in the middle of the run i had already collected all the tapes. The soundtrack is awesome and if you want to listen to it whitout buying it, note that is avaliable on Spotify. Also i loved the minigames, they should be playable outside of the main story! The only negative thing is that some textures are really low res on some spots and you'll notice them.

Door Kickers: Action Squad

a fun retro-style sidescrolling schooter

Essential but nice graphics, vast number of levels with different enemies and strategies to apply, with a great selection of guns and special abilities and you can also play with your friends! Maybe some guns are a bit overpower (see Off Duty Guy) :)
