And a short one at that - but. Still. It makes me want to see the rest. The sequel to the Excellent Whispered World looks astounding. This isn't going to be a smash 'em up sort of a game. The action to which it is oriented is clearly NOT going to be of the first-person shooter or tower defense mode. But then neither was the Whispered World. I look forward to adding the full title to my library.
Nonsensical "battle" system where "diplomacy" is really just a different weapon to beat over the heads of your opponents. Nothing like a little "friendly fire"! This game has nothing to offer. Gameplay is overly simplistic while simultaneously somewhat obscure. The reasons for doing anything just don't make any sense at all, and no matter how "charming" your explorer may be, I don't see the reason why a pirate, looter, or smuggler would hand over the goods just because you talked him/her into it. But worst of all - this game is just plain boring. This is the first GOG purchase I have come to regret.
