Knights of the Chalice

The Grandchildren of Dark Sun and ToEE

I will keep it light and simple. Do you like excellent quality combat in your games? Do you want well made handcrafted encounters that will challenge your brain? Do you want the story to not be an obstacle to gameplay? Then get immediately this TB indie diamond. A 3.5 D&D TB diamond with well tuned and hard encounters (even on normal) and a huge variety of spells. Who needs an epic and long-winded meaningless story when you have quality gameplay like this? Even the graphics are so charming and much more true to the era this game hearkens back to, than a lot of these pretentious "pixel art" poor imitations out there nowadays. Conclusion: This game puts to shame mediocrities like PoE, Tyranny and Numenera, it's even better than the infinity engine combat with the autistic overrated RTwP (no, it's not a hyperbole). KotC probably has more heart and soul in its help menu than most AAA "RPGs" do in their entirety. All, in a nice little 114 MB package. If you are a combat aficionado and a prestigious gamer don't miss this gem.
