Head Over Heels

Good graphics but I miss the old sounds

I like Head Over Heels a lot, I used to play on my Amstrad and finished it several times. The game consists in two dogs which have to get 5 crowns. If a dog dies you're done, you can't finish the game with only one dog. This is a good remake, I love the graphics, but I miss Amstrad sounds. For example, when you go through a door or when you lose a life.

Elvira II: The Jaws of Cerberus

A masterpiece

I finished this game many times, I love it. To be honest, I couldn't have been able to to finish it without the hint book. For example, it can be very difficult to guess that you need to give a toy cube to the ghost to enter the library. There loads of possible spells, but many are not essential to finish the game. There are some situations in which you can get stuck with no possibility to finish the game. For example, if you annoy the Indian or you make spells with essential items. If you choose the computer programmer is very difficult to finish the game because he doesn't have a lot of strength. It's very original that you can die in many ways: frozen, burnt, drowned, fear, bitten by Dracula... If you got lost with the maze of Elvira 1, get ready with the mazes of Elvira 2, which are much larger. It's a pity that the DOS version doesn't use Amiga music, which is much better.

Maniac Mansion

Excellent

I love this game. It made me spend lots of fun hours in my childhood. There are many characters, and the game has different endings depending on which characters you have chosen. For those who don't know, if you purchase "Day of the tentacle", the "Maniac Mansion" is already included. Also, there's a remake on the Internet, called "Maniac Mansion Deluxe".

Monster Bash

Very good

I really like this platform game. It's fun and addictive. I also like its music. However, it's a pity that it doesn't use more colors.

Day of the Tentacle Remastered

Excellent

I love Day of the tentacle remastered!! However, when using the computer in Ed's room to play Maniac Mansion, I expected it to be remastered too... Another thing. I use Linux and the first time I played the game it didn't have any sound! This is due to the fact that the game detects 2 sound cards (the default and HDMI) and I think the game uses the HDMI card by default, which results in no sound. Luckily, I could fix this problem running the game in this way: "./Dott --audio-device 1"

HuniePop

Very entertaining

I'm currently playing this game and I really like it!! First of all, it's very entertaining and I like solving its puzzles. Secondly, it has a terrific artwork. Finally, I'm learning a lot of English with it! Every girl has her own style and my ear is getting accustomed to them. I have not finished the game yet but I certainly will.

Ignition

Very entertaining

I played a lot with this game in my childhood, and I found it really fun and entertaining. This week I bought it on GOG and downloaded it to play on my Linux Mint operating system. However, it hasn't run properly on Linux, so I had to download the Windows version and use the Wine emulator. Then it worked!!! :) . On the same day I finished the whole game (even the mirror championship) and I enjoyed it a lot. I'm very happy to have played it again, and it definitely brought my memories back. 100% recommended.

Hocus Pocus

An old game, but really addictive

I'm currently playing Hocus Pocus in Linux. Even though the goal of the game is simple, I find it really addictive. Definitely, a must-have.

Indiana Jones® and the Fate of Atlantis™

A truly adventure game

If you like Indiana Jones and the last crusade game you will love Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis. I find it a bit difficult though, and I had to read the walkthrough to finish it. The part of this game I hate the most is when combining the 3 stones to open a door. I must admit that I had to try every combination of the 3 stones to succeed!!
