I grew up with shooters. Quake, Doom, Duke Nukem. Sure all those games are great fun, but blood just took all that great shooting and made it even more gory. A huge plus in my book. Just being able to kick severed head around the area like a soccer ball and seeing the trail of blood left behind it shows what the game is all about. Lots of gore and horror. Even the weapons (All unique) have a place in horror. Pitch fork, flare gun, voodoo doll, staff with a skull on it(can't remember the name lol) and more. All of the weapons (except for your pitch fork) have alternate fire modes. Even to this day, not many games have that feature. If you crave a hard gory shooter, then this game will give it to you in gallons of blood ;)
Possibly one of the best cRPGS ever created. Even to this day. I still remember to this day the first time I saw this game at my friends house. The instant I saw the turned based action, I was hooked. Watching him lay some critical death hits on his enemies and then seeing them turn into bloody pulps was just pure awesome! But that wasn't all that was awesome. The memorable characters, fantastic art direction, sweet enemies, brutal weapons, and great quests all fulled my need to have to own this game. Even to this day 15 years after its release, I still play the game. With all the different types of characters that you can create, it is near impossible to have the exact same experience again. Do yourself a favor, stop reading this and play the game!
Let me start off by saying that the Fallout series has been one of my favorite CRPGs since the first one came out. On top of that the original fallout was the first game that introduced me to the CRPG genre and thus holds a special place for me. Fallout (if you can't tell by its name) is a game about surviving in a post apocalyptic wasteland destroyed by radiation and it is your job to save your clan by leaving the vault and finding a water chip. In the process you will meet lots of different folks who you may or may not be able to join your party. The game is very bleak and paints a depressing future, but with all its dark humor and great narration I can guarantee that it will draw you no matter what kind of games you like. Just being able to shoot at someones eyes and blind them in the process just before exploding them into many giblets is very satisfying. If you have not played the original fallout, give it a shot. It will not disappoint ;)
