I own this on my Steam page. However, I wanted to drop a few lines of support for this game. It is easily the "scariest" game made to date. With absolutely no weapons and only a handheld cam to view "nightvision" through, you will run, and you will run a lot. The story is good even if a bit overused these days (mental asylum., etc, etc) however, the bits that make this game great is the sheer "fear" factor you will have involved in the gameplay. There's no run and gun, it's only run and hide. Much better than the Amnesia games as well, much more haunting and frightening. It will test you. Yes, yes it will. However, in the end, I was completely satisfied with every single penny I spent on this game. Easily a choice pick if you're looking for something better than the Amnesia games.

Man, I played this game to death back in the day. It had great music, characters and game play. The graphics were pretty up there for the day as well. Combining platformer, action and puzzle, there was hardly a dull moment. Using squad tactics, it played out like a Mass Effect meets Rainbow Six, except without the huge difficulty spike. Solid game, solid gameplay. I've actually been looking around for this game for years and had put it in GoG's wish list. Wish granted! Thanks GoG, you guys rock.

Blade of Darkness (aka Severance) was THE best hack-n-slash game made to date when it was released. The controls were a little odd, but once you got used to them, it was a breeze. The graphics were top notch then and still hold up today and the soundtrack always set the pace and the mood. Huge replay value and a nice difficulty curve. This is a game, that if you missed it back then, should be on your immediate radar to enjoy. I know I'm going to buy it again. My old disk got replayed so many times it actually wore out.
