Thief™ 2: The Metal Age

The Definitive Stealth Game

This is the kind of game that should be played not only by anyone who likes stealth games, but by any developer that plans on making stealth games.

Hyper Light Drifter

Another Pleasant Kickstarter Suprise

Aside from FTL, I'm usually hesitant about Kickstarter games. However, after hearing the rave reviews about this game, I decided to pick it up. Wasn't at all disappointed. From the majestic artstyle that looks beautiful even to someone like me who doesn't even like pixel art styles, to the atmospheric sound design and score, the game stimulates all the senses. Top that off with a story that shows rather than tells, and a robust combat system that seamlessly blends long and short-ranged combat and rewards agility/timing, this is one heck of a gem!

Thief™ 3: Deadly Shadows

Criminally underrated, phenomenal game

Still an amazing Thief game. IMHO, better than The Dark Project (owing to how Deadly Shadows felt like a thieving simulator, while TDP felt more like a dungeon crawler rather than a full-fledged stealth game). Buy this game if you're a Thief/Stealth fan

Xenonauts

A nice mix of old and new

Very well executed strategy games that combines the hardcore old-school gameplay of the original UFO: Enemy Unknown with enough of XCOM: Enemy Unknown's streamlined nature so that it can fit into the modern gaming industry.

Door Kickers

Rainbow Six/SWAT fans, REJOICE

Sure, it's top down. But this game still provides the high-tension, balls-to-the-wall tactical feel that you can only get with games like SWAT 4 and Rainbow Six: Raven Shield. Customize your soldiers, including weapons, gear, appearance, class, and armor. Will you stick to the heavy-hitting Assault, the silent-but-deadly Stealth, the tank Shield class, or something else? Your choice. A variety of missions, including terrorist hunt, bomb squad, hostage rescue, and even arrest operations. Many ways to infiltrate buildings, whether it's using lockpicks, breaching charges, or your own boots. This is the game for R6 fans new and old, and a perfect way to wait until the new Rainbow Six: Siege comes out.

Mark of the Ninja Special Edition

Wonderful title for stealth gamers

Mark of the Ninja is a love letter to all hardcore stealth gamers. It harkens back to classic old-school stealth games including Thief and Metal Gear Solid. Darkness is the name of the game. Enemies can see you if you're brightly lit, so you must stay in the shadows. Noise is also a critical factor; you must take care to avoid making sounds that can betray your position. Along with the darkness and your ninja agility, you have a variety of tools at your disposal. You have your sword to silently stab enemies, but your arsenal also includes darts that can distract guards/break lights, smoke bombs that obscure vision/trick laser beams, noisemakers, a MGS-esque cardboard box, and much MUCH more. Being a ninja, you can climb walls, slink through vents, leap across platforms, and use a special grapple chain to hook onto certain surfaces. Platforming in the game is exceptionally fun. Really, everything about this game is well executed. The only thing I have against this game is the artstyle. While the hand-painted scenery and shadowy backdrops are very pretty, character models aren't as appealing. I can tell the designers were trying to pay homage to the style of Samurai Jack or even Batman: The Animated Series, but it looks more like a Disney Kimpossible show. But that is a 100% subjective nitpick. Bottom Line: If you love stealth games, BUY THIS GAME NOW.
