The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition

This game and developer is worth it!

In short: The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt: It's an incredibly deep experience, that will keep you playing for hours and hours, and I seriously have to supress the urge to write pages and pages of stuff, but no one is interested in reading a long review. So let me simply say, no aspect of this game dissapointed me(Maybe keyboard controls, but it works well with a controller). It's gorgeus, from the open world down to the disgusting creatures that feel like something that fits in the world. It's characters look and act realistic, and the story feels deep and is fulfilling to go through. If you forced me, at gunpoint, to say something negative, I would say the learning curve can be a little steep, it took me several tries to get started, so be in a patient mood, because I can guarantee you, it will be worth it.

Necropolis: Brutal Edition

Great potential, not for GOG users.

I'm writing this a month and 10 days down the line, and we have yet to get multiplayer in this game that heavily suggests co-op is the way to go, and all we GOG users have been told is, it's an issue GOG and HBS is working on, I'm fairly sure the problem isn't with GOG as we have games that work similarly without issues, like Dying Light, I was trying not to be a cynic, but at this point it simply looks like HBS got cold feet and decided they didn't want to support DRM free, and make our version inferior in order to deter sales, and get more DRM locked sales on Steam. << All of this is why it's rated so low, here's what I think about the game: The game is interesting, the humor falls a bit flat, but it does keep the tone of the game light, it's not the hardest game, and indeed you can often find exploits to get around huge groups of enemies, although I have to say the game feels a little lacking in content, at first it feels cool when you get some new armor or cool looking weapons, but you'll have tried them all after maybe 4 levels, or at least most of them, this is something they appear to update as they go along, but it feels like there should have been more in the game, the boss battle was interesting, but not very hard, overall I did kind of like the game, I like the fact that it's not about number or dps measuring, you simply go after tier, and how you do with the weapon, I did better with the faster weapons, so while I had a Tier 4 weapon available I might still have stuck with my Tier 3 ax as it was much quicker, I wish I could have tried co-op it looks like it could have been quite fun, sadly I don't think GOG will ever get co-op in this game.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The Game, the DLC, and the other game!

I've had Witcher 3 since release, sadly I kept putting off playing it, I had played it a little, liked what I had seen, but then a reinstall would happen, or another game was released that demanded my attention, I remember in my first attempt at the game I was stuck at Novigrad on a mission that didn't seem to lead anywhere, so the fact that I lost that save was probably a good thing, as this time, I started it and I didn't stop, I got good at battling in the game, and got a good feel how to use it's other mechanics, I recently completed the main quest, a really good main quest I should add, despite it's length nothing ever feels rushed, I then went on to Hearts and Stone, it's a nice story, Gaunter O'Dimm is a really interesting character, so with virtually all quests completed, you can go on Witcher contracts, the first time I saw a leshen I was so hyped, it's an awesome creature, but it doesn't take long before you're twiddling your thumbs, waiting for the next big DLC, then I discovered, Gwent, now the game suggests you try Gwent early on, I avoided it because usually I'm not a big fan of card games, I've tried Hearthstone but it just never gets me excited, I tried a few matches in the beginning, and like a fool I skipped over the tutorial so I spent all my cards on the first round thought, how am I supposed to get through 3 rounds of this? Thanks to me not finding anything else to do, I decided to do what I should have done and research how the game worked, and it's weird to describe, but it's only once I started playing the game with my newfound knowledge I found out how amazing the game was, the psyching, bluff, and planning you can do made it so amazing to play, I can't describe how sad I was finding out that there is no stand alone Gwent game you can play against others this is so needed! Anyway tl:dr Witcher 3 is amazing, fun to play, great story telling, the DLC is quite good, and Gwent is the best!

Good story, Gameplay, what gameplay?

I do like this game, it was interesting, it told a pretty original story, and I was genuinely interested in seeing what happened next, and considered a second playthrough just to try out some of the other dialog options, but when it comes to gameplay, well you just wander, select the dialog option(or fail to do so because they will fade quickly as you're trying to decide, not necessarily a bad thing of course), the closest you get to gameplay is the radio gimmick which I don't see ageing well, but if all you really want is the story, and the option to select good dialog options(I thought they were pretty diverse atleast) Then you'll probably really like this game, if you like being challenged then you'll probably really dislike the game, I give it 4 stars although personally to me it's more a 3 star game, but I find it's voice acting and story and characters are interesting and since that the characters and story is basically the only content I have to admit it does it really well.
