I own the *complete* edition on GOG and now we have a NEW DLC *that costs extra money*. DLCs are really the scourge of gamers... Release complete games, not "construction kits" to fleece the customers! I like new contenct for games, but release them for free, at least for owners of "complete" editions...

This should be a free upgrade for all owners of the Director's Cut! How often should I buy the same game again? Original, Remaster, Director's Cut, Reforged, Reimaged, Repaid... I am not a piggy bank for software developers! Game is surely great, and I already bought it several times in the past. But pay again? Probably not at 30.- Sell it for 2.-, then I am game.

Tombraider is great. It always was. And this remaster has great potential, besides the nostalgia it automatically brings. I always wanted to play the game with mouse controls and had high hopes. But the controls in the remaster are terrible. The jumping is much more complicated than with the original controls (in complex sequences). And the jumping during the fights kills the game for me: The original game allowed to wildly jump back and forth and left and right to avoid the enemies. In the remaster, this jumping is not possible in the same way anymore and the worst thing is that Lara looses focus on enemies while jumping backwards. The original game glued the aiming to the target and Lara always shot and hit. In the remaster, this is simply not possible anymore. If the devs correct this problem, I might play it again, but in the current state, it's not Tombraider anymore.

I was immediately thinking of the Nostromo when walking through the hallways. The game has a Sci-Fi-Retro-Alien look, as was already mentioned in other reviews. So the atmosphere is quite nice. But the game is rather short, it would even be shorter, if there would not be constant backtracking and running around for same section to same section again. Puzzles are simple to trivial. But the most annoying part is the VR. Building the required connections is tedious and uselessly complicated because there is no "delete" function. One little mistake (that can happen quickly) and you have to start from scratch. Or maybe I was just to dumb to find a way to correct mistakes? Doesn't matter. After connecting the 20th dataline, I gave up and watched the walkthrough on YouTube... Good potential, but needs a lot of polishing!
