Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition

Still awesome after 10 years!!!

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition is an awesome game! Great graphics, great story, and super fun combat! So yeah I played through this game twice, the original and the definitive edition. Highly recommended!

Horizon Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition

AMAZING!!!

Horizon Zero Dawn is an absolutely gorgeous, amazingly perfect game! Aloy and all of the characters are awesome and so well-done! The story, the world is one of the best I have ever experienced. I admit I took it slow, exploring, visiting areas to see the surroundings, finding all collectibles and doing every side quest and errand, nothing felt like a chore, it was awesome from start to finish! The graphics, scenery, combat, story, everything is so brilliant! Highly recommended. Ignore the negative reviews about "personal data" "spyware" they are is ludicrous. Those type of reviews have no place here. This is for the game experience not your own paranoia.

Mafia Classic

Great Story!

Mafia has an awesome story and dated graphics. The controls are atrocious! M&K just suck and make my hands go numb.

Outward Definitive Edition

NAH

Outward is ugly and clunky. There are a lot of good games out there, get one of them instead. Not recommended

Dead Age 2

It's as bad as the first

Dead Age 2 is just as tedious and grindy as the first one. That's not a good thing! I do not know why I purchased this title, I disliked the first. I must of had a brain fart. Not recommended

INDUSTRIA

Things never explained???

INDUSTRIA has an interesting story that I think ended abruptly. There are things that are never explained, like the developer rushed it at the end. The graphics are nice but the game was extremely taxing on my i7-10700k not my nvidia 3080. It is so unoptimized!! The controls are clunky and floaty, I had to use the mouse for aiming and shooting the pistol. There 5 weapons in all and the shotgun is the only one that feels like it has any power. I love the variety of enemies! Five unique robots, all with very different killing styles and very good animations. I had to restart the game several times because of corrupt save files, so NOT cool. I really like the game but I cannot recommend it until it's fixed. The developers need to optimize, fix the controls and fix the dang save system. I wanted to give this a thumbs up but it it's current condition I can't.

The Divine Invasion

Terrabad!

The Divine Invasion makes Day One Gary's Incident look like a AAA game. A New Reckoning was more playable than this. It's a clunky, glitchy, sluggish unresponsive mess of a game. Avoid at all costs! Not recommended!

Mars: War Logs

Flawed but good

Mars War Logs is an action RPG from Spiders Studios. It has a pretty decent story, interesting characters, mostly decent voice acting(some is whiny and annoying) and good graphics for a 2013 title, all in a cool post apocalyptic Mars setting. There are many sidequests, gaining you experience and serum, along with the main story. Some sidequests have to be completed to move the story forward. There are 3 chapters and once you've finished a chapter you cannot return to that area. There are dialogue choices that can affect whether or not you are perceived as a good or bad guy. The dialogue is okay for the most part, but at times it's like 'what?' You can craft health and fluid potions, nails for your nailgun, grenades, traps and turning items into other items. The items that you collect from crates and junk piles can also be used to upgrade your armor and weapons that have slots. The crates and junk piles are shiny and easy to spot. You have 3 different skill trees; Combat, Renegade, and Technomancer. With each level up you get 2 skill points to spend on your skill trees. Your melee weapon is assigned to the X button on a controller. The main problem that I have with the game is that the combat can be awkward at times and the ability to assign only 3 buttons to skills, firing weapons or items. Seriously, what were they thinking? You have to assign 1 of the 3 keys to fire a weapon, throw a grenade, use your Technomancer abilities or any of the 12 slots on the skill wheel. It's a completely asinine way of using the weapons with the possibility to accidentally reassign the wrong buttons during combat is really frustrating. I don't think it was not a very well thought out design decision. I really wish Spiders would get the combat right in their games. Their games seem to always not have the best combat controlls. Overall, I really liked Mars War Logs and I'd give it a 7/10.
