A set of four short, atmospheric adventures. The upsides are the excellent story telling, mood, and audio canvas. The downsides are a bit of pixel hunting, a few less than optimally clued puzzles, and a little overly linear structure. Also be aware that this first "season" of four adventures does not really find a conclusion to the storyline of any real sort. I enjoyed these enough to buy them here and then *also* back the next copy on their website, so I'm a fan.
This is really a concept looking for a game. It apes titles like Zelda, Final Fantasy, and even Diablo, but at half-hearted turns without giving any of them any real meat to their bones. At least it doesn't overstay its welcome, completing in a few hours. I just get the impression that somehow the point of the various genres included is missed.
