RollerCoaster Tycoon® 2: Triple Thrill Pack

On of the biggest time sinks in sims

RTC 2 was and is a slightly smoother and better RCT 1 and one of the best simulations ever made. Even if you don't think you like simulations or if you think the old graphics might throw you off - give it a try! RTC 1 & 2 provided me with some of the best gaming experiences ever. They both are slightly different in some parts for example endless mode and objectives. First you will plan out your first rides, walkways and once greenfaced customers start messing up your beautiful clean park you will be organizing a cleaning squad. Have them pay no entry fee, double on rides, triple on food - when rain hits raise the price of your umbrella stands, sell balloons in all colors of the rainbow and when you win the main objective all those balloons will be let go into the sky. The pixel art still gets you after all those years and so does the cuteness of the visitors. The simulation options are very satisfying. This counts for both RCT 1 and 2 - the third part however could not hold up to the originals charm

Lovely storydriven game - must own

It's one of these games that isn't actually a game. You can't interact a lot instead you just discover a story. If you want to actually play a game then this is probably not for you. But if you like stories this game is perfect for you. It's a well crafted discovery game. The story is captivating and refreshing. You could compare it to Dear Esther and maybe even the Penumbra games if you leave out all the horror and creepy mystery of these games. I loved every minute of it!

Rayman Origins

Bad Controls Origins

I don't know why people like this game so much. I plugged in my controller and fair enough it was supported and that is saying something because most games support my controller that easily. After 10 minutes I just had to turn it off. The controls are horrible. Really horrible. Half the time you don't feel in control of your character because you just cant control where jumps will go. The whole theme of the game is of course a different matter. You can like it or not like it. To me the whole friendly atmosphere with quirky sound effects and sometimes made up language mixed with English was a bit too much. But I would have played it if the controls weren't just so bad. I am not going to play any more of this game because it feels like the challenge would be to beat it despite of the controls and not with it.
