Deus Ex 2: Invisible War

It's not as bad as its reputation

However, the problem is that there's this little game called Deus Ex which does literally everything Invisible War does, only better in every single possible way. Invisible War looks better, and that's really the only thing it has over the original. Everything else is a soggy cardboard version of the original. Now to be fair, a soggy cardboard version of an absolutely incredible game is still half decent. But why settle for soggy cardboard, when you don't have to? I do think it's slightly better than Human Revolution though. Playing HR feels like wandering through a good looking Deus Ex theme ride, while IW definitely feels like its own take on a Deus Ex style game (even if that take is a claustrophobic uncanny valley).

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

gotta bed em all

It's a boring, grindy, edgelord cringe-fest. Maybe the story is interesting, but I was too busy collecting mind-numbing rng drops to care. The most fun I had was the juvenile absurdity in bedding every single female that Garret talks to, but even that gets boring (and frankly a little uncomfortable) when you realize all you have to do is say "hello" and they throw themselves at you. Speaking of which, I'm not one to get too uppity about the sex, but it's downright sleazy in this game. Nudie trading cards of your "conquests"? Yikes. I bought the director's cut when it was new for $60 and to this day I would say it's still the most I've felt ripped off by a game. It astounds me that it came to be so highly regarded.
