i didnt expect much from this, but fahrenheit surprised me. after you killed a civi, the world is open for your decissions. the game can end suddenly, when you choose wrong, or may have consequenzes wich impakt your charakters mood. the soundtrack is exciting, the dark atmosphere will make you feel what psycho-terror means, and qtes are awesome to play. graphics are good and framerate is awesome. buy it :)
my opinion to SS2 is.... well. i was skeptical, because the youtube-videos didnt convinced me. but i gave it a shot - and i dont regret the 9 USD for this game. its cool, beeing a soldier on an (almost) abandoned ship, fighting monsters, disabling surveillance-cameras and trying to destroy the system wich took controll over anything in your environment. a wrench, some guns, your psi-forces and some stim-packs are everything left to aid you in combat. the combat-sistem itself is a little tricky, but practising and waiting for the right moment to act are the keys to survive. one last thing: installieren sie bitte unter keinen umständen die deutsche version, ansonsten verliert das spiel seinen charme und sie erwachen umgeben von bewustlosen körpern, welche in ihrem eigenen erbrochenen liegen. wenn sie auf so etwas stehen sag ich nur - viel spass :)
even without human players, mobile forces is fun like no other game. intelligent bots, awesome vehicles and weapons. what else to say?
honestly guys, who didnt dream about a carriere as a hacker in his youth? when i was about 10 or 15 years old i played a trial-version of this. soon i deleted this because i couldnt play it. my english wasnt that good and i couldnt even beat the tutorial-hack on the test-server. now im 22 and i understand every word written on the screen. so i bought this game on gog for 2.99 bugs. the game is fun to play. its like having a real (2nd) job as a hacker, doing his job for the uplink-company. you hack servers, computers etc, steal and manipulate datas, delete files..... and all for money. you get 3000 credits as a loan from uplink, and you better pay that fee back ASAP, than you are free and able to spend your money to new hard- and software you can work with to gain more money. ow and while you proceed in your missions, your ranking will increase, giving the option to accept harder, but more profitable jobs. its in your hand. dont get caught by the pple you hack ;)
seriously. this game looks prety old, but the game mechanics and the story are fantastic. but beware: if you use win 7, it could happen that you dont hear voices while someone talks. to fix that, just set the compatibility-mode to win xp service pack x (i use 3) than it works.
I try to stay as neutral as i can be as i'm writing this Review. First of all: It's true, the Game is really bad and often makes you wonder what the developers were thinking when they developed it. I had serious problems getting this game to work on Windows XP AND Vista, until i found out how to work around the Problem of the Game not booting. Than after i got it to work (on windows 7) i learned very quickly that saving your Progress constantly is a MUST!. trust me, as soon as you encounter a brutally difficult situation, you should try to get back to the Place where you died and save before you approach it again. Also at a certain point i had to consult a walkthrough, because the Tank i was supposed to take over (or destroy? i don't remember so well) was pretty much invincible to any Kind of Damage i dealt. Also it feels like i was often wandering around searching for the next trigger to execute so i could actually progress with the story. And i think in the Level with the Prison-Tract and the Test-Tubes the game Softlocked cause i had to destroy Planks barricading a hole in the floor..... but no matter what i did i could not break those planks. So in summary, if you are patient and don't care too much about a games quality, you may actually have a decent Game for yourself with a story-line that that's actually truly unique. For Graphic-enthusiasts and those who care for quality, you may skip this one.
im sorry if i have to say this, but i do not agree with the other people here. this game is full of bugs, you dont see the enemy, just when you move with your aim over him you see the declaration. the movement-animation suck and you die - and you dont know why. you simply just die without any reason. for me, this game sucks
like the title says: sniper elite is a pretty old game - not the best, but not the worst of its genre. its fun to watch the bullet hits the heads of the german :)
