Styx: Master of Shadows

It's a pretty alright game

Pretty fun game, interesting story, a cool twist, fun mechanics, somewhat challenging, and a terrible "final boss" It's good fun, get it on sale

Ion Fury

A very fun blast from the past

Good Guns are satisfying Atmosphere (In the beginning) Movement Level Design (I only got stuck once, as in ran around aimlessly for barely 5 minutes) Lots of secrets, I only got a third of them Graphics are just beautiful Voice acting was suprisingly well done Bad Performance stutters, ESPECIALLY IN THE FINAL BOSS FIGHT JESUS CHRIST it was like a power point presentation Enemy variety, weapon variety both weak The enviroments barely changed, it felt like one very long episode (compare this game to another similar shooter Shadow Warrior. It starts off in a city, ends in a volcano, with jungles, temples, sky scrapers, boats, underground research facilities, giant gunships, submarines, and a host of other locations. All but one of Ion Fury's 27 levels are within a city, with one level having a section where you're on a cliff side briefly) Boss Fights were incredibly weak Final Boss was challenging, but only because it cripples your system. Verdict A very fun action game to get on sale, it's nostalgic to play and experience, but one can feel a bit tired by the end of the journy, as if it wears out its welcome. Also idgaf about them removing "ogay" or "fagbag" because it was only a tiny texture on some bottles that I never found.

Shadow Warrior Classic Redux

Well Worth S10

Never played this game until around 2014, never played any build engine games prior, but this game is really good fun even in today's standards (I actually played this during new years 2020) Just don't expect Twin Dragon to be any good, it was awful imo, and the only thing holding this back from a 5/5

Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition

Phenomenal!

Absoulutely worth the purchase This isn't me wearing Rose Tinted glasses, I never played this game until summer 2019. If you can get past the very dated visuals and clunky combat (Which is a lot of fun once you finally understand it) the Baldur's Gate saga is just one of the most fun and well written games out there. All the companions and colorful characters you can meet is just astouding. Issues include, AMAZING antagonist in the base game Irenicus but the expansion has such a lame and forgetabble Villain, I can't even remember her name Didnt' play Black Pits for either game

Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition

Went in Blind in 2019

I loved Kotor 1-2, Shadowrun, and Divintiy: Original Sin 2 these were the only turn based RPGs I actually beat in full, so playing a Dungeons and Dragons RPG from the late 90's seemed like it would never happen. Not until I saw the trailer for Baldur's Gate III; I knew I had to see what all the fuss was about. My first experience with Baldur's Gate was actually many years prior as a wee lad my dad downloaded Baldur's Gate II and I played maybe 15 minutes of it and realized it was trash and never played it again. I played this game blindly and god damn I didn't put it down for 3 weeks and I beat it. The game is difficult for a new comer atleast and it had excellent writing for the most part. The only gripes I had with it were that magic felt really weak due to having limited amount of spells, though that certainly changed in the Sequel which was masterfully done. This game is not overrated, it's underrated as I had a blast with no prior experience in this series.
