Overall, the game is fairly interesting to play. However, it just feels more like a really well done Shareware project than a full-blown commercial product. There's nothing inherently bad about the game, but there's also nothing inherently good about the game. It's very average across the board... from graphics, to gameplay, to story, to sound... even the theme music is repetitive and gets old after a while. Pick it up if you're into turn-based *LITE* role-playing games that will keep you occupied for a few hours. Otherwise, I can't really say I was thoroughly impressed enough to replay the campaign.

It's not intended to be Fallout 3 or anything of the like. It is intended to be the sequel to Wasteland. If you loved Wasteland, you will love Wasteland 2. Period. Don't pay attention to people comparing it to Fallout or X-Com or anything else. Those games are unrelated. Wasteland 2 is a fantastic sequel to the original which is still very much playable today if you can get around the graphics. Hopefully InXile will make an update to where we can beat the game and then lose all our gear and restart the game on a higher difficulty level just like the original allowed for, but as of this moment that is sadly not possible.

Anyone who is a fan of the original will be very happy with this reimagining of the classic Wings. It's basically the same game but with a significantly upgraded experience. This is how I would have liked to see other classics such as Speedball 2 or Turrican redone. Excellent job!
