STASIS

Interesting story

Interesting though somewhat confusing in places. Takes dedication as as a bit dry in the middle.

Runaway: A Road Adventure

Poor story with pointless puzzles

This game is full of filler puzzles which are totally unnecessary which rapidly turns game into a grind.

Secret Files: Sam Peters

By far best of series

Finally a game that makes sense. All the puzzles are logical and the main character has a lot of funny observations. Downside. Very short.

Secret Files 3

Bleeh

With every game they improve one thing while making the rest worse. The story is okay and most of the puzzles are logical but then they add some stupid cursor driven puzzles that are just stupid. Good try but still not worth it.,

Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis

Puzzles are stupid

This series just gets worse. Story not bad and quite funning in places. The puzzles however just get worse and worse. Take a list of insane ingredients to solve some random pointless problem. This game would suggest you get some tree bark an orange and a piece of wire and make a satellite than drop out of the sky and lands on a bell that distracts a guard. Completely stupid.

Secret Files: Tunguska

Extremely disappointing

The game has a good vibe and a good story. This is all however let down by the worst puzzles. You just pick everything up, try to combine them and see what happens. There are some locations especially in Cuba where more obvious solutions are available yet you are always stuck with the weirdest.. Got as far as Ireland where I gave up and resorted to reading the solution and then just gave up on the game as too stupid.

Metro Exodus

Another failure in the metro series

Every time they improve one thing the rest gets worse. The new inventory construction backpack is brilliant this sadly is not the same for the rest of the game. The compass is still awful and gives you no clue as to where you are going. The boss fights are a pain as they just burn through ammo you don't have. Your stuck with stealth killing everywhere else so you just have enough ammo for the boss. The lost straw for me was the second bear fight. By that time i was down to a few bolts and nothing else. Called it a day and played something else as the fight cannot be avoided.

BioShock™ Remastered

Over hyped

Not sure why people rave about this game, its a typical reaction shooter. Nothing special with a bland average story.

Darkwood

awful in every way

The top down view is diabolical, leaves you struggling to get any fill of where you are and what's available to use in a room. This is worsened by the movement controls which leave you spinning around and constantly walking in walls. These just ruined any other potential the game has.

The Dungeon Of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet Of Chaos

What a mess

This game has so much wrong with it it actually becomes funny. In exploration your view is just around the party and you have no way to move it so you are constantly referring to the map as you loss focus on where you are. The movement controls don't work properly. Sometimes the cursor will move the party in that direction most of the time it does nothing which gets annoying. The battles from the early stage become defensive attrition because the levelling is rubbish. I started to face level 5 enemies while my team was still level 2. Your wizard never hits anything while the enemies has amazing area of affect spells. Melee reaction does not work properly as the goblins just ran straight through my line and no one reacted. The barbarian is a total mess as he also miss 50% of the time. Goblin gunman hit you from the other side of the map with ease even behind cover. Finally the worse is the enemy always get first move which means they always close before your archers even get a chance to set reaction fire. Just so annoying.
