The interface and implementation of the d&D 3.5 ruleset are awkward. The controls are unintuitive and the game has a fairly punishing learning curve. There's no multiclassing, which makes character development very linear. It feels like a demo for a more fleshed out game. I don't mind flawed first products from small devs. I'd consider getting the second game to see if there was improvement, but the community can be very toxic and gatekeeper-y. I think a better game in a similar niche is Solasta. Small crew that turned out a flawed, but interesting game. I am looking forward to Solasta 2, but I'm moving on from this franchise.
