I've been playing games for the past 30 years and adventure games always have been one of my favourites genres. I have a true fondness for the likes of Monkey Island, Indiana Jones or Leisure Suit Larry. I also try to regularly play games with my kids and the Little Acre is really a wonderful introduction to the adventure games genre. Visually, the game is looking great. In terms of puzzle, they are on the easy side and a seasoned player will have no issue getting through it in less than two hours. But the characters, the story and the charm will make these two hours a pleasure. If I had to compare this game to a book. I would compare it to one of the short novels from Pratchett that he wrote for a younger audience. It's something everyone can enjoy but it's designed in a way that the younger ones (let's say around 7-8 years old) can enjoy it by themselves. For the youngest ones, it remains enjoyable but it'll require the support of an adult.
