Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project

Better then you might think

Considering the Duke franchise haven't achieved much since Duke 3D I did not have any hopes for this. But the fact that it's a sidescrolling shooter the way Duke should be (Duke 1 & 2!!) I felt kinda interested and with GOG's prices what the hell!? So here we have a simple easy shooter, they're not trying to be revolutionary or do anything very fancy, it just contains those basic things any good platformer shooter needs and it's absolutely an entertaining ride while it lasts and if you play at the hardest it'll last a while longer. There's a nice array of weapons and some nice powerups, you can also kick your enemies to conserve ammo. And of course search for secret areas, kill all enemies and find all the the "nukes". The "nukes" increases your maximum "ego" (life) permanently if you can find all 10 in one level so that will make things easier as you go along and it will take some extra time finding them all. 3 stars for being a really good, but basic, sidscrolling platform shooter. 4 stars would require actually being innovative about it.
