After much backlash, Ghostlight released an external patch that restores the contents they censored: http://blog.ghostlight.uk.com/post/mary-skelter-2--gets-a-restoration-patch It would've been better if it was uncensored from the beginning, but at least a patch came.

From the store page: 「Please note: Internet connection is required to access Escalation missions, Elusive Targets or user-created Contracts. Story and bonus missions can be played offline.」 And this time, it's not cosmetics or multiplayer locked behind online activation (which shouldn't be fine by GOG either, but it is). It's single player missions, hours of gameplay and mechanics, locked behind online activation.

Read the store page. See nothing wrong? Read again. Still nothing wrong? Read until you see it. Maybe they'll change the info in this page later on to be less of a poorly told lie, but currently, this "DLC" gives you access to an *interactive map* in a *RPG* but you need to use an *online service* to access it (and I know PS2 games that have interactive maps without needing any sort of internet connect) And a last note: DRM FREE. No activation or *online connection* required to play.
