Like my title says. If you loved Gothic 1 and 2, then you will love this game. So much of this game feels like I am playing Gothic 1 or 2 but in a different world. The combat is fun and challenging, the game does not hold your hand unless you want it to, they give you plenty of information to go about it yourself if you do not want any of the hand holding options. The graphics are spectacular. I highly recommend this for any Gothic 1 and 2 fan.
So I just completed the game, took me 8 hours to complete, and about 10 deaths. I got to say, "WOW" and in a good way. Fantastic journey, very immersive and atmospheric game with challenging battles and fun puzzles. This game is now in my top list of best games ever, Freespace 1 and 2 share the top spot, with Hellblade being second spot. Hopefully we see more of this kind of game from Ninja Theory.
Just so you guys know. The Gremlins vs Automatons companion is literally the Single player portion of the game that does not require to be online nor require GoG Galaxy. That is why this game can be on GoG because there is a DRM free version of the game. This game was originally released on Steam to be a fully online game, and that version of the game had both Single player and multiplayer, but both had to be played online. Then they later on recoded the game and made a new version of the game that was single player only and can be played completely offline. There is zero reason for GoG to not provide this game when there is a DRM version that you get with the game, and there is zero reason for them to not include all parts of the game. So relax people, GoG isn't doing anything wrong. This game is DRM free if you are interested in playing Offline without GoG Galaxy.
Gothic 1 and Gothic 2 are still the best Open World RPGs, No other game have come even close to giving this kind of experience. The worlds feel alive and authentic. You feel like you are taking a part in a society, where each camp has its own goals and their way of interacting with the other camps. The game play is a lot of fun, though the controls can be hard to get used at first, but once you do the whole game is a very rewarding experience.
