I don't really get it. 4.2 stars and a metacritic score of 90? This is a straight shooter with a nice atmosphere, yes. But that's about it. It is ridiculously linear. Even old school call of duty's are open world games compared to this. Hell, even the first doom had way better level design. It's just one tunnel after another, without any other option than to shoot your way through. And if you do a little something the game does not want you to, it simply kills you right away. I played for like 5 hours and encountered 2 different enemies. Humans and mutated killer rats which all look and act the same. And weapon variety is also very limited, even with the kinda nice mod system. Altogether, it is very monotonous most of the time, and when it's not, it just frustrates the hell out of you. The problem is not the difficulty, but the game design itself. It is an okay shooter, but nothing more. The world is full of way better shooters than this. I really don't get the fuzz.

I waited so long for a game like this. Such great atmosphere, charackter design is also pretty great. Everything feels really authentic, a musthave for all those medieval fans, especially if you had enough of all those fantasy elfdwarforc-standard stuff. More of this please, warhorse FTW! Oh, and those few bugs in the current version are not really worth mentioning. Like Skyrim still has more bugs than this now :D

I really get all the excitement around this game. It is like Battlefield, but with StarWars! Hell yeah! Well... a good game behind that concept would have been nice. Mechanically speaking it is one of the worst shooters I ever played, it basically feels like a pretty clumsy Battlefield mod. Graphics were okay at that time, but the controls are incredibly unprecise. When it comes to the controls of vehicles or aircraft.... don't even get me started. The space battles are a neverending joke. The maps are also pretty badly balanced, either way too large and empty or way to small, and the AI is just running around shooting madly all over the place, hitting just as much as the stormtroopers in the movies. It is like a sad Starwars parody, and as a game it neither works in singleplayer nor multiplayer appropiately. Like i said, i understand the excitement. But i really don't get all these positive reviews.

I really wanted to support warhorse for the great game they made. Yes, the DLC is pretty expensive for a single questline, I bought all of their DLC's anyways because I felt like those guys deserved it. But now this Hans Capon questline just keeps crashing.... not just that I can't finish it, it also killed my last three savegames, which really set me back a lot. Obviously this thing has been rushed to completion, and I really regret buying it. What a shame...
