Be warned - this is a gamer's game. Commandos 2 is the game that makes you love the quicksave option, but it really becomes a feature when you figure out the huge number of strategic possibilities. Some say it's a hard game, but with 10 heroes under your command, it's just as easy to eliminate every enemy one by one as to lure them all in a single room, where your men will be waiting with full gunpower. I bought Commandos 2 when it first came out, and was absolutely overwhelmed by this game. The character design, along with the strong acting, beautiful environments and epic music create an atmosphere that you simply can't forget. Most of the levels are designed after a classic WWII movie - Private Ryan tank scene? check! Bridge on the River Kwai? check! etc... And you're not done by the end of the game, until you unlocked every bonus level (and they're just as good as the big ones) To sum up, Commandos 2 is a huge improvement over the original formule - everything that lacked in the previous game is now available, and nothing was left out. It is a classic that you should own. Why did I focus on Commandos 2? Simply because the third game, sadly, removes characters and keyboard shortcuts (why?) from the second, and adds at the same time a bad mouse interface, time limits and hardcore sniper levels. You'll want to come back to the majesty of Commandos 2 in a few minutes.
