Prince of Persia

A beautiful, but console game

This game is made for console. Console gamers want the controls to be easy, if they happen to feel lost in the game, they want an instant magic light to show them the way, when they die they want to respawn just a couple of seconds before they failed. They want to be told which buttons to press during fights. They want to run over the map to collect a million lights put there for them to collect. And they get all this in Prince of Persia. Unfortunately this is not what I'm expecting of a game, and it was somewhat irritating. So why am I rating 5 stars? Because the game is so fantastically beautiful that it was pleasant to play anyway, just to watch the world! After every part of the game, a part of the world is cleaned from the black plague, and it changes appropriately. The game is a bit repetitive, but not to the point when you just don't believe anything new will happen. The story is not bad, although way less beautiful than in Sands of Time. The fighting system is interesting, although very console-gamers-targeted. In general I must say not everyone will like it, but for me it was both fun and challenging at times. Maybe I'll even play it again in the next couple of years :)

Spacechem

Great programming game

What I like most about this game is the simplicity of rules that gives so many possibilities. I can definitely recommend this to anyone who likes puzzle games and analytical thinking.
