Turbo Overkill Demo

Some Serious Issue

First impression was wow, this feels great. You can chainsaw dash, double jump, blink forward... For what little I played the gun play felt great and the graphics are sort've retro-ized in some modern way that looks pretty cool. Then while doing chainsaw dashes (CTRL) my foobar (music player) in the background started playing. Uh, what? The only way that happens is if I hit the play button on my multimedia keys on my keyboard which I didn't. I tab out and turn the music off, felt weird at first like the game was playing a song I was just listening to. Then I tried to open the game back up, it has that obnoxious full screen that is very heavy and doesn't work well with multiple monitors, it will not re-open, so I have to kill the game. I immediately try to search for the developer to contact. I try to open a new tab (CTRL+T) and instead of opening a new tab it just replicates my tab. I try to click on firefox browser on my task bar instead, which opens a new firefox window...? It feels like all of my keys on my keyboard have been jumbled up, they will not do what they are supposed to do and I am activating hotkeys for different things because of this. I try to click on my Start button and it opens up a windows search instead. I had to hit the power button on my computer to shut down because nothing is reacting the way it's supposed to. Mind you, this is all while the game is not even running. This has some very invasive issue where it hijacks your computer and shifts your peripheral inputs, very strange. Trigger Happy has no website, Apogee has no website. I would've contacted them directly, instead, I have to write this review. While the game would've been a lot of good fun, I will never touch it again because of these issues. Felt like the old days when you'd get some sort of virus and you computer goes haywire, not cool.
