The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game of the Year Edition Deluxe

Good, not great.

The exploration, the guild-questlines, and everything around it is very very good. What breaks the game more than a little bit is the level-scaling. Everything in the world levels up when your character levels up. And no enemy is beyond you at any given time in the game as a result. In effect this makes leveling up rather pointless, since the final boss can be defeated just as easily at level 2 as on level 22. Exploring Cyrodil and interacting with the world is where the game really shines. The side quests and the guild-quests are great, and a joy to experience. The main quest...not so much. Closing 10+ Oblivion Gates did get old rather fast. Flawed game but also kind of good.

Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition

Great but repetetive

As the title says. The game is great. Exploration, interaction, the fantastic characters you run into. A true joy to experience. There was an outcry when fans learned they had moved away from the isometric view of the previous titles - and I can understand it. In this case the result ended up being a great game anyway. The style and mood of the old games are certainly intact. The brilliant (dark) humor is also still going strong. The only downside, in my opinion, is that too much of the game is spent exploring subways and vaults. It got a bit tedious after the 20th one. 4/5 from me. Worth every bottlecap.

Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition Official Soundtrack

Parasite company.

The classic PS:T came with the soundtrack included, at a third of the price of the EE version. In order to get the classic you now have to pay for the EE version. The soundtrack, however, is not included anymore. Beamdog is selling this separately. For about the same amount GoG used to charge for the game itself + the soundtrack.

Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition

Overpriced Mod

Beamdog is a parasite making money off of other people's work. This is an overpriced mod, and nothing else. Beamdog just compiled them and decided to sell them. The same mods were available for the Classic version (for free) - but sadly Beamdog had the classic removed from the stores in order to make sure only their own version is available. You can only buy the Classic version IF you buy the, much more expensive, EE version now. Slimy move, Beamdog. Slimy. As for the EE version itself: It runs fine - like the Classic version does. Buy it on sale.
