I played this game when it first came out. It was unfortunately hyped up to be something that it never really turned out to be... You play some soldier in command of his ship and crew. The crew system is very, very simple and is really nothing much at all. The characters are basic. The game is most about you running around foot shooting aliens. Sometimes you get back up, sometimes you don`t. The story is meh. Big let down after UT99. Interesting that you actually play a black guy. The shooting mechanic is ok, but the walking is a bit awkward and don`t put head bobbing to high or you`ll feel like a disabled man on crutches- Horrible. Also what`s this whine about the female character having big boobs? I kept thinking, "I don`t remember her boobs being massive or gravity defying." And no they`re not. Her boobs are not even close to huge, they are simply reasonable- All I can see is that her suit has an opening to reveal her cleavage, so what? I was more bothered by the totally mechanical and unwomanly way she walked. Sick of fembots (jealous females) and manginas playing the sjw thought-police stupid game and ruining everything. This is why we can`t have anything nice any more. MORE BOOBS! It`s an ok game for a spin

You play a member of Swat, the counter terrorist/criminal Police Force taking down bad guys for all sorts of reasons. What makes this game so good is that it adheres to a somewhat dark realism. From the moment you receive your authentic call to enter the doorway of the suspect premises you are on alert. This isn`t the sort of game you can just wander in and expect to come out alive- at least not on the harder levels. The suspects are randomly placed and from there wander about which adds a huge level of replayability and stops the game from getting repetitive or boring. You must CHECK EVERYWHERE. One shot almost certainly kills so lack of attention will make you or your comrades pay dearly. The suspects aren`t shy about screaming obscenities at you either- just like in real life. Another thing I really like about this game is, unlike so many others, you are trying NOT TO KILL. You see a suspect with a gun, you are expected to warn him and hope he drops his gun. If he looks like he`s going to fight you shoot to kill. But in that vital second between you warning and his dithering, you have to make a lightning-flash decision... `Kill him or not?` There are times I`ve shot dead a suspect who was actually surrendering cos I was certain he was going to shoot- oops! Then there are times you take too long and he shoots you or a teamm8. Sometimes your AI chums do the deciding for you. The AI works pretty well for what must be quite a complex thing to program for it to work as it does. It`s also fun tying up people, especially smart-arse civilians who can`t understand why they`re wearing restraints. And of course, one of my favourites part of the game is when one of your men counts down, you turn away, he blows a room door open, flash-bang it and storm in from two sides to clear the room in a second, SAS style. Wonderful- really feels like how it would be. A great game and including the expansion! Certainly worth buying at the price it is now!

The game was going fine until I came to a part where I was told to "Check my privilege!" Instant uninstall. I don`t need SJW bs in my games. This kind of thing must NOT be encouraged. It`s sjw politics by stealth. In agame set in the 1900s, let alone present. I wouldn`t have even bought the game had I know it had this kind of crap in it. 1 Star.

A sandbox game for explorers who want to meet strange new things, again and again and again. Ever flown in a space game, then headed to any planet you see to try and land on it, gotten closer and closer, then got stopped by an invisible force field or the screen goes into load mode to load up the planet? And even when it does you don`t really see much of it? I have waited years for a game that realistically takes me from space into the stratosphere of a planet, shake from the trembling ship as it hits the heat of entering the upper atmosphere at speed. Then the turbulence kicking in at the lower atmosphere and WHOOSH! Suddenly the planet is coming at you at speed and you have to pull up in fear of hitting the Earth- or rather, whatever planet that may be. No other game has managed this until No Man`s Sky. I love diving to a planet, or even diving back on re-entry, it`s a rush. This is a space and exploration sandbox game. You start off on a unique planet (yep completely unique to you) by a busted ship and have to explore to find minerals to repair your ship. You have a multi-tool that allows you to mine various resources. This multi-tool also works as a weapon if anything bad happens. At first it`s really strange, as you might expect, since the wildlife is completely weird and alien (and unique). Trees and rocks are strange looking, the geography is all weird, although believable. On my first Planet I had a weird Morrowind vibe as I passed giant twisty mushrooms and even saw a giant rock like boulder floating by itself way up in the air. You`re not sure if the animals will run away of attack you, so you keep your distance as you mine away. Sometimes you`ll get weird drones come and shine a light on you, I always keep away from them. You also have an exo suit that protects you from the harmful effects of the planet such as cold, heat, toxicity and acid rain, etc. On my planet the weather was relatively pleasant, but it got really hot in the day, draining my suits power. I started getting desperate when I was warned of my low power and low protection was waning (and I hadn`t found enough resources)- then it dawned on me to just run back to my ship. I did. The ship will protect you indefinitely while your basic shield power is restored. But you can`t sit in your busted ship forever! It seems difficult at first, but as you figure things out, it gets easier and easier. I didn`t mind the inventory system at all. As long as you have your buttons the way you want it, it works fine (I use Mouse and Keyboard). After an hour of this, I was surprised to spot what looked like an abandoned outpost and met my first alien there whom traded with me. Finally, I had what I needed and took off into space. I saw 4 huge battleships/carriers cruising in the night of space and a space station which I landed on. You can `communicate` with aliens (they just grunt) and buy stuff off them. But there isn`t much life. Checked out my next planet which was a cold planet of -60 C, punishing on my suit. Found an injured alien and helped him for some credits in return. You can upgrade weapons and ships, etc. You can end up in battles, but I`ve only had to shoot a few drones that didn`t seem to like me mining. To be honest, I`ve only scratched the surface of this game, the planets are HUGE. I`ve visted 5 and not seen everywhere on any of them. When I look at the map of space and realise there are thousands more that are uniquely, randomly, created, it dawned on me I can never see them all, just like I could never see all the plents in real space! By the way, don`t expect a game that holds you by the hand with a deep linear story. There`s a small track of a intro-story you can choose to accept, but that`s it. If story is all that matters to you then don`t bother with this. This game is about making your OWN stories and your own AAR you can write in a fictional diary and look back on with a smile. Graphics. I`m not a fan of this style of graphics. It`s almost cartoony and a bit too coloourful. I bought the Gamma down a fair bit to add a little more darker `reality` to it. Also, the textures don`t quite have that level of detail you`d expect in a AAA game today, but perhaps that`s a trade-off for what it manages to do? It looks `ok`, but it should be better than `ok`. In space things look better. Audio: Not a fan of the audio music at all. It`s not terrible, but it just seems to think that because it`s in space it`s gotta sound all `spacey` and `futuristic`. I just mute it and play something orchestral on the PC in the background- Winning! Performance: The game has not crashed once in 6 hours of play. Even when I accidentally Windowed out of the game. There are some stutter spikes and pop-ups though, even with fps set to 60. So it needs some optimisation. What I don`t like: The limited view in the ship. You can only see forward like a blinkered horse. We need a port and starboard view. Also giving us track IR capability would be much appreciated, but at least allow a leftright view. In fact just let us freely look around our cockpit- Helps the feel of exploring. You can`t fly really low to the planet surface, at least not all the time. You can auto-land and auto-take off and cruise a bit real low, but as soon as you come near any thing sticking up the game moves your ship up and above. It seems like the Devs have done this to avoid people crashing their craft. I would like the Devs to include an option to remove this `safety` forcefield. Can`t name myself or ship unless you use GOG Galalxy. I prefer a clean game so I`d like to see the Devs allow us to name ourselves even when Offline. I play offline almost exclusively. I paid a fair bit of money for this and will put a lot fo time into it, so we should have this. More customisation is need, Right now there`s almost none. You can`t even name your ship or change its colour. Again bad for a game like this which one might spend many hours on. Anyway, good game that has managed to do what most games wished they could do. Great that it`s released on GOG too. 4 stars and 5 when my issues are resolved.

You play as a Ploice HQ cop who has to deal with all kinds of arrests in his town. You also have to deal with a lot of unsavoury characters and can end up crossing the line between being a good cop or a dirty cop. You have a roster of Police officers to assign to certain tasks. they have skills and experience. You have to decide if a certain callout requires a noob recruit or several experienced officers. The higher ups will also call on you to do things that are decidely risky. For instance, the people were getting angry at black people for some reason and so your heads demand that you sack all black people from the force. I decided not to. As a result I lost funding and had to let go one officer. I liked the fact that it had these kinds of tough issues to face. I also really like its stance against feminism. in fact, i`ve never seen a game so strong with it. Now remember, people, not liking feminism does NOT mean you don`t like women. Don`t let anyone tell you different. A breath of fresh air compared to the cringe worthy other games that lapdog after feminists. I recommend it. The artstyle is simplistic, but pleasing and conveys the message.

Good game. I like this game. It`s very opened ended allowing you to explore a bit of Europe and Britain as a Viking or even escaped slave. LOTS of options (with one caveat, see below). You can explore or start banding togther a small army, speak to villagers to do odd jobs or even try to reach for the crown. The villages are more spread out and there are more varieties of people. The graphics is good and mostly functional. You can even have a poet dog. Dogs look weird, the Devs they need to work on their animation. Battles are still great, plus horse riding and now you can even battle on ships. It can be quite hard. My only disapointment is you cannot play a dark-skinned character. You can be female even with the same strengths as a man, but for some reason black men need not apply. This is very unusual for a Warband game and seeing as I like to play as a Black man is a thumbs down for me in immersion. I will amend this if it changes.

I don`t cry. I have a daughter that looks much like the little girl your protagonist meets in the game. I knida look a bit like the protagonist too. The people you meet are generally realistic with their different characters and excellent voice acting/expressions. You will have very, very hard decisions to make. You`ll have to go through some serious bad stuff. I didn`t cry by the end, but I could`ve.

Well, I bought this game on the `better than the second coming` hype. I expected the low graphic style, even the twee music. I even stuck with the girly-looking avatar you have to use. What I didn`t expected was the pointless, samey walking about patronising writing and battles. It wasn`t that the battles were hard as such; they were just... let me think... A waste of my time. They made little or no sense- yea, I should talk to me, or something. I spared monster, I won! I cheered monster- I won! Waste of time. In fact the whole thing is a waste of time. The best way I can describe this is as a game for 10 year old girls and girls in general. It`s twee, it`s cute, it`s NICE. For some reason, people think it`s clever with the writing. Really? I`ve seen better in 10 year old games like Baldur`s gate and more maturity. Perhaps it`s just me because I was bored to tears afyer 20 minutes of this `twee` nonsense. I`d give this to my daughter if she wasn`t already too old for it! 2 out of 5 and that`s only because it`s me being `nice`. Don`t waste my time.

I really like this game. the handling is solid and rough, cars grind against each other and really feel like they have weight. The AI is very good and there are a LOT of tracks and courses to do. I still haven`t completed it. I`ve not seen anyone else say it yet, but this version also works with the excellent Track IR 4/5 head tracking system. For those who don`t know, it allows you to look about in your car using your head (like in reality), freeing up your hands completely for the real driving. You cannot beat being able to see ahead to coming corners before turning your car or checking who`s sidling up besides you in the heat of the race! One of the few racing games that actually made me buy an actual racing wheel. Great game.
