Horizon Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition

Yes, yes, a million times yes!

This game is a real treat. Having seen it on sale a few times but with mixed reviews I finally caved in and got it on the recent sale. I'm so glad I did! This game is simply put one of a kind. It's like taking - Far Cry Primal - Crysis - Fallout - Skyrim and a brand new genius and well thought out storytelling and putting it in a blender. Everything about this game is top notch, absolutely fantastic! + Voice acting + Characters + Story + Combat + Exploration + Graphics + Camera + Performance I can't find any faults so far. As many states, the beginning 30-60 minutes can be a bit "slow" but it truly steps up from there. This is the game I wished I knew about a long time ago. I've spent countless hours modding Skyrim SE into perfection, and this game just does it even better than that. There's a true sense of mystery, tons of lore, hours of gameplay, an open world, machines/killer robots /factions mixed in with norse mythology... there's something for everyone. The game looks amazing, one of the best looking games I have ever played. This port is alos very well optimized and runs fantastically well on my 3060Ti with all settings to Ultra (1080p). Don't have second thoughts on this, it is truly an instant classic with the sequel hopefully coming to PC soon. People who have played that one on PS5 says it's even better than Zero Dawn. Can't wait to play it, I absolutely love this game!

Sinking Island

Underrated game for a rainy day

Note: I got this game for like less than $1 on sale. I bought the game back in the day when it released since it was made by Benoit Sokal, the man behind the excellent Syberia series. This game is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing, an excellent game for a rainy day. It's super low pace, mostly talking, relatively claustrophobic area and almost no traditional puzzles. The game also runs like crap because it's only playable in 4:3 format. This is insane since you can even play Broken Sword in 16:9 and the game was released in 2007 (same year as Crysis). Resolution is also really low. Nevertheless, the Art Deco style, the careful thoughts from the protagonist, the excellent voice actors, the depressing state of this insane idea to put a luxury tower on an island is poetic and beautiful. I've completed the game probably 5-6 times, which is most likely more than the majority of people who bought this. The game just has this depressive feel to it which can be a good thing on a rainy october day or when feeling low. It's one of a kind really. Get it on sale and adjust your expectations accordingly.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition

Greatest porn game ever made

All others will writer serious review, but I want to write something original to make you buy this excellent game so... BOOBS! Skyrim is the ultimate sex game, way better than any stupid "slideshow, adult visual novel". You can give your dragonborn: - skimpy outfit - giant boobs with physics - 4K high poly curves - A "V" with physics You can even give a female dragonborn a giant schlong, futanari style. All dudes can become total Chads. The money shot will stay with you... The amount of "possibilities" is enormous in any way, and with anyone. So if you're a horny dude or gal, buy the best porn game ever made right now!

Firewatch

#1 Walking simulator

Out of all walking simulators made this is the absolute #1. I've played tons of walking sims, and none of them matches this one. Some (like Suicide of Rachel Foster) try to imitate some of the formula, but fall short. The game is absolutely beautiful, the music wonderful, the pacing amazing, the story gripping. What sets the game apart are the voice actors. There are only 2 main characters, one of which are you, and the other a voice on a walkie talkie. These 2 have amazing chemistry, nailing it from the absolute start. On following playthroughs I always take my time to stretch this 4 hours game into 6 hours. I just don't want it to end. It's a perfect game on a sunny summer day. It's a perfect game on a rainy october night. It gets a hold of you, and never let go. I love the free roaming map. It has perfect size and you'll see it in both day and night. There are some hidden animals to find, and book covers to read. You can adjust the map to remove the marker so you have to actually navigate with the compass. I love this game. It's magical.

The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard

Fun to have tried

The dialogue - of which there's a ton - oozes with charm, Cyrus is awesome, many characters enjoyable. The story is interesting and lots of Elder Scrolls lore (like the dwemer) got their start here. That being said, this is a really, really bad game. It looks very much like Jedi Knight Dark Forces II, but the draw distance and movement is garbage. The platforming is horrible and just doesn't belong in a 90's PC game. The combat is absolutely awful. It's a true oddity and, but I do recommend getting the game on sale (I got it for $1.79) since it really isn't a game to be played, but more "tried". If you want to see what the game is about I'd recommend the let's play on YouTube by Vazz from 2014. He plays the original version of the game (since the GoG release didn't come until 2015) and you can see that the game really is just as bad as it is on GoG. People claiming the game has "oh so much better frame rate when played on proper hardware" are just lying or suffer from nostalgia.

The Painscreek Killings

Half polished diamond

Great game! Wouldn't really call it a walking simulator, but a walking puzzle game. It's just you against a murder case, just to make a journalistic story. The game is relatively simple to navigate and if you keep your wits about you it's relatively intuitive. It's a puzzle game made very well, it's very clever. + Story + Litterature + Navigation (sprint button is a God send) + Location + Atmosphere + Puzzles (mostly of the mind in litterature, not in practice) + Open world What deducts a star are a few problems that are hard to miss. - Almost no voice acting, no commitment to the player character - Bad voice acting the few times when present - Puzzles come in few forms, more variation would have been fun, but then again the pace is faster this way. - Graphics, especially "add-on effects" are quite bad. I play the game with all extra effects turned off. They feel old, like 2009 when effects felt like you covered the screen in vaseline. The shadows are not that great, the textures not so great, cars in particular are awful. The game sometimes feels like they have bought a bunch of assets (that are often reused) and other times just used some old engine. The game feels very PS3 to look at, sometimes even worse. I'd say some graphics feel like they're from 2006, or even 2004. WHO CARES? The game is hard to put down in spite of all these flaws. The story is great even though the rough backdrop. It's a game that truly stands for that it's not the graphics that count. The only proper complaint is that a good voice actor and narrator would have given it 5 stars. I bought it on sale for $6.74, I'd recommend it on sale.
