Loop Hero

Just one more loop!

Game is chill/relaxing while providing enough play systems to be engaging and fun. This is my third time playing through the arc and it's been satasfying ever time. The diversity of build options for both lops and characters helps keep things fresh.

Slay the Spire

Superlative roguelike deckbuilder

This is the game that got me into both roguelikes and deackbuilders. Years later, while I've enjoyed many games that are in either or both of those catagories, I still come back to play Slay the Spire over and over again. This game is enjoyable enough that I actually purchased it for my phone as well, one of only three phone games - the others being Cultist Simulator and Battlevoid: Harbinger - I've bought in the last 5+ years. Strong reccomend for fans of card games or roguelikes.

Cabernet

Setting and narrative

A nice mellow pace combined with attention to setting presents a fun narrative with choices that effect your path through the story.

Inscryption

Creepy deckbuilding fun

Inscryption is a great deack building roguelite with a horry puzzle twist. The card battle mechanics are entertaining and mesh well with the story, unlocking more deck options as you unlock more aspects of lore. Fans of this style of game will find Inscryption to be a refreshingly novel take on the core themes.

Cyberpunk 2077

A true Cyberpunk RPG

As a long time fan of the genera from which the game derives it's name I'm happy to say the story, setting, asthetic et al deliver that in spades. As a long time RPG fan with games as far back as Darksun and Planescape: Torment, I'm glad it's delivering that cyberpunk exprience in an RPG where you make choices about your character development [you can't max every stat and skill, you need to make decisions] and offering fully voiced sidequests that are robust enough to be the main plot quests in other AAA titles I've played over the years. While the game is easily worth the price of admission for a fan of cyberpunk settings and RPGs, it does bear mentioning that there are bugs and players might be advised to wait until CDPR fixes Cyberpunk as they did with The Witcher 3. Speaking of The Witcher 3 treatment this game has a lot of content (I'm over 100 hours in and I haven't finished the main story or all the side quests yet) and is slated to get the same treatment as The Witcher 3 when it comes to having both paid, and free, additions to the game. I can't wait to see what the Cyberpunk 2077 equivilant to Blood and Wine will be. TL;DR - Great game, easily worth the price. But wait for bugs to be fixed (and hopefully the issues with remapping keys is one of those bugs and fixed soon, with more than half of pre-orders being on PC the game shouldn't be hard locked into a control scheme that clearly feels designed for controler not KB/M).
