Not really a game at all, but having a vague semblance of a narrative adventure. This is a government funded propaganda piece to tell you that your world view is wrong and that you are bad. Weak action segments coupled with canceling whining, and, lying. I certainly can’t endorse this hateful smear campaign against decency.
A fan was the team lead...not a professional dev. Thus..no real improvements at all except textures, a broken day-night cycle, ridiculous goal oriented in-game maps, etc. hell, they broke the original grpahics mode and made it jittery as hell.
Let’s simply forego discussing the controversy associated with this title. Let’s base it on it’s own supposed merits. First and foremost….the performance is abysmal., and the title constantly crashes. This is all too common with Madmind Studios. The graphics are in no way, shape, or form photorealistic by any stretch of the imagination. If you ever played, Agony, Succubus, or PARANOID, you already have seen these assets and textures. They are sub-par by any standard with Vydija having the face of a bulldog and the genitalia of a circus freak. Having been confronted about reusing assets, Madmind admitted to it on the STEAM forums proudly without shame. Gameplay…well, that’s subjective…but I wouldn’t even call it gameplay. You are simply a common skeezer who must pay her rent by having sex, playing mini games, etc in a never ending loop of pointlessness. Intention? As you may well be aware, this was given away for free to people who purchased the lackluster and poorly performing Magnus Dopus we know as PARANOID. If you are a keen observer, you’ll realize that this is simply a section of PARANOID that they didn’t have time to jam into their quick cash grab. All in all…Madmind simply isn’t good at anything …period. If you like this sort of poorly made niche product, that’s your decision, but I’d advise you that you are weakening the gaming industry by supporting terrible devs. If you like this kind of content……support someone who actually does it well.
It is rare that GOG procures a decent AAA release…especially from Sony. Rest assured that GOW has finally landed on GOG and with a 50% discount on release. Everything from the art to the voice acting, the graphics, and the presentation are expertly crafted. This is an excellent port and is an essential addition to any DRM Free library
