Unreal Tournament 2004 Editor's Choice Edition

Limitless fun.

This game is FPS nirvana, pure and simple. It looks great, runs great on a modest PC and has faultless controls. The weapons are the core of any Unreal experience, and the designs here are of impeccable quality, perfect balance, and the amount of well thought out game modes and maps available to use them on is truly exceptional. The vehicles added to this iteration really are a lot of fun and mesh seamlessly with the core gameplay. Also, no developer to date seems to have the same grasp of bots as Epic, and the AI controlled opponents here are no exception, making UT2k4 a challenging, compelling experience for those who like to play solo as well. But just like its predecessor, what you get here is only the tip of the iceberg... this game had an enormous modding community behind it, and today there is so much high quality, free content out there that you could conceivably find yourself playing for years. I highly recommend anyone who purchases this to check out the Jailbreak, ChaosUT2 and Ballistic Weapons mods.
