STAR WARS™ Republic Commando

A Great Tactical Star Wars FPS

I do have to take a star off this game due to a lack of controller support for this title, but it is still great if you're looking for a fun single-player tactical FPS, similar to games like Swat, Rainbow Six, or the Modern Warfare games.

Darkest Dungeon®

An Excellent Dungeon Crawler

This is undoubtedly one of my favourite turn-based games of all time. I've probably put over 100 hours on the Playstation port alone, and on GOG I am in the middle of one of my best Stygian playthroughs so far. Yes, there is RNG, yes, a lot of elements are essentially a dice roll, but if you study each region carefully, every treasure, every enemy, your characters and their skills, you'll find a lot of elements that can help you tip the scales more towards your favour. The Ruins are a great example. A good mix of human and unholy enemies, strong against bleed but weak against blight, melee bleeders and tanks, ranged zoners that cause stress, lots of curios that require keys, holy water, and medicinal herbs. All of these things put together, and you understand which classes you want to pick, such as Crusader, Plague Doctor, Grave Robber, Cleric, Bounty Hunter, You get the picture. It's a difficult game, and it's designed to be, but it's a worthwhile experience. An easy 5 out of 5 for me.

Brutal Legend

A Very Solid Action RTS Game

From the music to the locations to the humourous dialogue and characters, everything in Brutal Legends brims with charm and style. Jack Black brings in a great performance as the main character Eddie, which among most lackluster hollywood voice acting roles, really makes it stand out on its own. Double Fine proves once again that they were masters of the creative art of game making. The one negative thing that I have to say is that the melee combat in this game is clunky. Normally, there wouldn't be anything wrong with that, but on Brutal difficulty, it really stands out as a sore spot for this game. If you're looking for a good RTS experience with fair melee combat on standard difficulty, you should be fine, this game will be perfect for you, but if you're looking for a more hardcore hack n' slash, this might not quite be the one you're looking for.

STAR WARS™ Episode I: Racer

A Fun yet Simple Arcade Racer

This game is arguably one of the best and most underrated arcade racing games of all time. The controls are simple enough that anyone can play it, even on a keyboard, but as the tracks get more complex, you'll want to start experimenting with new strategies, trying out new vehicles as you unlock them, swapping old parts with new ones, or coming up with techniques on the fly during a race. This game must-have game for Racing and Star Wars enthusiasts alike. An easy 5 out of 5.

Batman™: Arkham Origins

My Personal Favourite.

There's a lot that keeps drawing me back to this game in particular. Though the other Arkham games all have their strengths, this game's combat is arguably the best in the whole series. Free flow focus, critical strikes, gadget quickfires, numerous ways to counter opponents, this game has everything you'd want out of Rocksteady's trademark combat system. Not to mention the general tone of the story, the music, the atmosphere of Gotham's snowy streets, the introduction of reconstructing crime scenes, and the fact this game acts as a prequel for the series, this game gives a general grounded Batman experience, even by the gritty standards of its peers. Of course, my memory of this game wouldn't be complete without one particular boss battle that will still makes me tense every time I think about it.

Gigapocalypse

Classic Godzilla Monster Fun

Each monster has unique skills and abilities that are easy to learn, but can be difficult to master. My personal favourite monster can hatch eggs to make monsters to terrorize the city! Muaha! Definitely worth it, especially when it's on sale for like $1.15

CARRION

Goopy, Gorey, Horror Movie Fun

Movement is fun, grabbing people and consuming them for their mass is satisfying, throwing things, sneaking up on unsuspecting victims, catching them in cobwebs when small or straight smashing through them while big, this game starts simple and straightforward, but adds complexity and fun mechanics later on. Definitely a recommended 5 out of 5 stars!

STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ II (Classic, 2005)

A Classic, But...

There are some issues. I've noticed the game freezing up here and there, and I've forgotten how horribly unbalanced some of the maps can be. Nevertheless, it's a classic. Highly recommend it.

Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach

It's a fun turn-based Warhammer game!

This game's cover system, large unit and map variety make the game feel very dynamic, like no two skirmishes are the same. Would definitely recommend if you like turn-based games!

Final Liberation: Warhammer Epic 40,000

This is a fun game, but...

It does have some issues. I've had the game freeze on me a few times, but reinstalling usually does the trick. It's a little tricky to understand at first, but once you do, it's fun to play.
