Gotta admit, that name of the private detective got me, but the game comes too hard with trying to be funny and referencial. The guy we take control of after the prologue is insufferable, and initial bits fail to convey any sense of progressing into the story this game has to offer. The cat sidekick is OK, I guess, but having it reject 9/10 attempts of helping the protagonist grows old very fast. Very bare bones and standard point-n-click experience. I'd rather replay something I've already finished and liked, than trying to chew through the cringe this game piles up as humour.
Rather standard and slowly paced. Movement feels like a chore, presentation is bland. Progression structure is rather confusing at first, failing to communicate differences and integration between campaign missions and freelance mode. Missions are bare bones, and tutorial missions are way too drawn out. Menu music is good, but in the gameplay all audio feels muffled out. Maybe if it wasn't so hyped to me, I'd receive it better, but as it stands, it wasn't fun.
