Pandemonium!

OK Platformer (3.5 stars)

The greats: * Amazing sense of speed. A platformer that reminds old Sonic games on Genesis. The characters run so fast that you'll have to sharpen your reflexes. * Entertaining camera angles: there are many spiral stairs and platforms hidden or at plain sight, each time you walk trough them the camera simply knows the best angle it needs to be for you maximum enjoyment, being really nice to watch. * Astounishing soundtrack: probably the best part of the game. Really catchy and dinamic. The Awfull: * Punishment for forgetfulness: this game is old-school on it's difficulty. You'll die many times to traps just around the corner that you had no idea of their existance, especially when you're light-speed running. The escape will be to memorize the nearby obstacles and prepare your reflexes with antecedence. I won't even write about the bonus stage. * Awkward jumping mechanics: as seen many times before on trully old platformers, you'll have to jump from the very little tiny bit last inch of a ledge toguether with the momentum from a race to get to some other places, especially hidden areas. The double jump skill from the girl main character also requires precision, having to press the jump button within a not that good period of seconds after the first jump. * No save, only passwords: enough said.
