Game needlessly pushes the GPU, even the likes of Metro Exodus and even Chernobylite (in Dev) run better set on ultra. Seems to me to be just a lazy cost saving move on the developers behalf. Be warned those playing on notebooks that this game will light up the GPU and use 100% of all available resources irrespective of GPU which is a joke for a game of this nature. Far more graphically complex games can and do use far less resources. The same comments are also on Steam, so not an isolated case. Very disappointed as although the game itself is good, it's poor optimisation kills the experience, nor from the comments on Steam looks likely the dev's will address the issue...

Played through the campaign, really enjoyed the game. Great atmosphere & graphics, shooting is nothing special, nor is it bad by any means. Some tactical elements combined with decently sized maps. You'll need to make smart decisions to survive, especially at higher difficulties, tension builds… Hordes being the operative word, don't think I’ve played an FPS with quite so many enemy's on the screen at the same time. The sheer numbers make the game challenging, especially while managing your NPC team mates as their AI is best described as serviceable. For the most part the NPC’s do as instructed, however you need to be mindful & plan where you send them, as they may not react as you would expect in a given situation. Story is thin, equally serviceable you know what, where and how. I’d like to see more of the 40K lore, that said it’s all about the action of which there’s absolutely no shortage. Game has a lot of playability as one can play with ranged weapons or melee, search & seek out “relics” special missions, online co-op, It’s all good. All set to have another go on the next difficultly level and seek out more “relics” Most of all Space Hulk Deathwing is fun and that's all that counts at the end of the day… FWIW I’m not into the 40K universe, although I am aware more so Space Hulk

Conarium definitely captures the essence of Lovecraft presenting a great atmosphere with palpable tension and a level of uneasiness, which generally builds as one progresses. Not terribly scary, equally the game has it's moments in a few places where things rapidly and surprisingly change putting the player on edge. The game is short and relatively easy I didn't rush, preferring to take in the environments. Overall I enjoyed the game and it certainly entertained, completing in a single session. Not a game for all, as there is very little action, puzzles are relatively straightforward. Conarium is more of an experience, I'll likely play the game again just to take in the environments again and enjoy the atmosphere. I'd like to see a sequel in the same Lovecraftian style, longer, and a little more challenging. If a Lovecraft fan a buy as you'll enjoy the atmosphere & fan service, and the game will be discounted again sooner or later. Personally I bought the game discounted a while back, have to say best $10 I've spent in a good while.
