Ehm, Yeah its very very good but I wish modern gamedevs would learn from Skyrim since games now are stupid amount of size like 150gb plus sometimes and these did it with so much less but still very very replayable game not to mention all the mods! Would be fantastic if gog would have mod workshop here too tbh, that would be a great thing.
In todays day and age when they need 170gb of space on your hdd or if you are rich enough to have ssd .. Well that is beside the point 170gb is 170gb on ssd or hdd ... Not going into what is faster... That some devs need that huge amount of space to make absolutely rubbish games (far cry6) But this! This very little space does it take but gameplay/ replayability ... all sorts there and doesnt hardly take any space at all. The controls are hard to learn from a 2024 point of view though and I do understand if someone who didnt play this when it came out, finds this cumbersome and hard to get into but this is seriously one of gaming historys hidden gems that ... Tbh I have no clue why this didnt take off ... Like that we didnt get magic carpet 3 4 ... blabla.. Like we get fifa each year? XD Its literally just magic carpet 1 and 2 ... and thats it .. but on a sale these are a steal so just get them then both because these are very very interesting games and there hasnt been games like this before them or after them. Whoever made games in the golden era of gaming when obviously devs were balling with the fact they didnt want to make games that took a lot of space but... Its so interesting how that same logic and intelligence has gone amiss to modern gamedevs who discards optimisation and all sorts ... Would be such a fun time to see these old devs make a modern game instead and beat the modern gamedevs out of the water. Yippi ka yay Jolly Roger! ArrRRR!
