I think that this is the first 'serious' adventure game I played. I was just finding my feet with the adventure genre and was lucky enough to start with this and beneath a steel sky, along with the monkey island's. I loved the intense atmosphere, the narration from the jamaican? sounding lady and the dark plot that unfolds. A true classic of it's time. I also remember the little twinkle you get rewarded with when you do something right...brill.

Point and clicks are what I originally played computer games for, and this has got to go down as a classic. From the beautifully rendered scenery, through the amazing personalities and storytelling to the great soundtrack! It's great to enjoy a truly ingenious title that has difficult and challenging, yet not frustrating and illogical puzzles. Benoit Sokal is a genius for writing it and it's sequel and I think that it was the saviour of the genre when it was released. An intuitive and simple control system and a beautifully constructed plot that really captures the imagination!
