I bought and played Psychonauts when it first came out. Now, as then, I give it my highest recommendation. Play it.
Bought it for my fickle graphic adventure lovin' sister. She liked it so much that she went on to play both sequels. I haven't played it yet; but anything that keeps sis happy has to have value.
This game gave me the bends, the digital bends. The tech used in this game is positively neolithic. Only attempt playing after properly decompressing yourself of a period of weeks. Suggested decompression path: Oblivion -> Morrowind -> Fallout -> Simon the Sorcerer -> King's Quest 5 -> Lure of the Temptress. Failure to properly decompress before playing may result in exploding eyeballs.
