Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War

Decent short term fun with some bugs

Pros: Good variety between factions, 40k looks, fun win condition if you follow the tasks given by the game Cons: Gameplay itself is not too deep, which reduces replayability drastically, research tree is more like a research line and it's just sad, neutrals on the map become irrelevant very fast, map terrain features are not many and it makes the map feel like just a grid sometimes. Additionally the game has horrendous stability issues and very annoying bugs, e.g. using some abilities crashes the game and using others does nothing other than the animation. Basically it's a fun little skirmish game in 40k with very limited replayability and a bunch of bugs, and I would even say it's somewhat overpriced.

BATTLETECH + Shadowrun Returns

Love mechs, hate everything else.

While i'm a huge fan of tactical turn based games AND mechs, i couldn't enjoy this game. From the very first seconds you encounter unbelievably cringeworthy writing, lazy and boring character creation, political pandering (yes dear gamer, you choose a "preferred pronoun", because that's what games are about these days) and absolutely mediocre at best campaign design. And no, the game itself isn't amazing enough to carry all that baggage. Add to that the not-so-drm-free nature of the game, preorder incentives and such, and you get a product that might not be worth your time. If you can get over all of that, it's probably an ok game, but otherwise i wouldn't recommend it.

Absolver

Bad multiplayer, bad singleplayer

You can NOT play this game online with friends from other countries, it is region locked. And even when you get into a multiplayer with people from your "region" (arbitrarily picked by the game) you will encounter various issues with it - lags, desyncs, you name it. The singleplayer component which was supposed to be offline is bland and heavily dependent on online grind. Overall, the base combat seems to be alright, but other than that this game is a bit of a mess.
