Desperados 3 is a return to form. After a messy Desperados 2 it took a while for a developer to pick up the mantle. Fortunately when that happened the team was Mimimi which had already made a hit with Shadow Tactics. D3 is basically D1 brought into the 21st century. Sound is great, music is awesome, graphics are top notch and the gameplay is probably the best you'll find in a stealth-based RTT. Well worth every penny.
I remember playing this in highschool. While the grapchis haven't aged really well and the gameplay is wonky at best and frustrating at worst it's still a game well worth playing. The game takes the piss (both figuratively and literally) on everything. Be warned though, treat it lightly as it can get very offensive very fast.
This game is amazing. You can: - punch a kid in the face - pat a mail box and tell it it's doing a great job - get wasted - beg for money - puke - argue with yourself. a lot. just like in real life - steal a dead man's boots and boil them in a restaurant's kitchen for disinfection - cry And many other wonderful things. Be warned though, this game is not for the feint of heart or people who get easily offended. Topics like child abuse, child labor, racism, drug and alcohol abuse, politics, mental health, sex and others are discussed/encountered at every step. This game has it all.
They really nailed it with this one. Graphics are gorgeous, controls are smooth, weapons sound satisfying and sniper aiming and shooting is challenging enough without being frustrating. There are some bugs but overall it's a very solid entry in the series.
