Witchaven I & II Bundle

Bring powerful nostalgia feelings!

Today videogames cannot bring feelings you only would get with pieces of ancient broken art as Witchaven I & II: - The game was difficult to set-up - Sometimes it wont even start or had crashes everywhere - Saving the game was a nightmare depending on your PC - And it was glitchy in terms on playing which made the game quite challenging. Sounds like a pain in the ass, right? But it dind't felt that way, back then. This was just the normal drill on PC gaming during the 90s. On the other hand, this was one of the first first person shooters with prerendered graphics! And let me tell something: you that was a hell of revolution during that time. Closest experience to reality, closest experience to be Arnold in Conan or some brawny hero from Richard Corben's marvelous mind. You had to be there to dig what I'm saying... Now, you have to understand that all this dificulties were not in bane. Thanks to these hellish PC type of games, the domestic console industry took off, because there was a market niche that was not in condition and had not patience to deal with all this technical challenges or didn't had the financial muscle to pay a fortune for a 486 or a Pentium PC. These people never played Witachaven and never delightly tasted all this tehcnical nightmarish charm that made you feel like you was playing a challenging state of the art videogame. This feeling of "unreachable gaming" just died with that generation and can only been understood by those that lived during that period of time. After that, patches became popular, PSX worked just by inserting a disc in his mouth and the rest is history. Amazing times! I never finished Witachven due to all this technical glitches, but the intensity an excitement I had back then, still remains inside of me. I've been waiting for years to have this: one single easy going install (without reviving that old pain), with some improvements made by somebody that knows what he/she's doing...and now I can be that little boy again!

Metro Exodus - Gold Edition

Exodus is now what should have been

I tried to play the game some months ago, before the Enhanced Edition was even announced, and let me tell you: What a dissapointment! The game was broken and badly optimized even for a high end PC like mine and there was a point where the story could ot be followed due to a bug. Basically the game was unplayable for me and I rated it bad back then. Now, with this new Enhanced Edition I decided to give it a second chance, because I could see how the story worth the time alas buggy and flawed. Let me tell you something this a totally new experience...now, METRO EXODUS is the game that should have been! - The bugs that stop the user to make progress on the story are now solved: At least I could finally finish the Baron's plot and move on without any flaw. - The game looks eve BETTER but now it is well optimized thanks to DLSS 2.0 - Basically is the same game, WELL DONE this time. For me it's a MUST BUY! I have felt (even without having beat the game yet) like this is the best plot driven game, in terms of inmersion, since Half Life. Like a good book...there is a point where you cannot stop reading ad you will feel the same way with METRO EXODUS. Congratualtions to the dev team for having fixed this amazing gem!

Cyberpunk 2077

"Aunque la mona se vista de seda

This is a spanish proverb, the one on the title, to illustrate that no matter how shiny is your gun, if it's rusty on the inside, then it will never be an efficient weapon. Cyberpunk is a tremendous masterpice, more ambitious than it's inception era standards, that specially stands out where it shouldn't: technically so advanced (or is it badly optimized?) that present technology cannot satisfy users demands, furthermore insufficient in its depths of ambition: - Pedestrians that you cannot interact with far beyond a simple tagline: "Hey you, do I know you? Get lost!" - Thousands of closed doors that cannot be hacked nor force. Even Deus Ex was more ambitious than Cyberpunk in its own terms: not many doors to open, but all of them where breachable...You cannot say the same about this game. - In summary Night City is crowded but prominently dead, which is the worst feeling you can have on a state of the art sandbox like this one. Buy it, play it, get amazed, but I must warn you: Cyberpunk is like the best steak you could eat, with that isourmontable feeling that it was 5min close to be the way you tasted it in your brain. Ah, I forget the most important thing: You'll need a 1.500€ computer to play it as you you deserve, and you will not even have everything on ULTRA, so be sure to meet that requirement before purchasing it.

Prodeus

Old School FPS with modern FPS mechanics

Hoooly cow!!! The name of this movie is called "LESSON LEARNED" PRODEUS has succeded extremely well to adapt modern DooM to an all timer FPS game. Basically it adapts all the mechanics that present DooM has to embed it into an old school FPS, just the way you'd love it. It is so good, it can even trick you to think this is a DooM sequel without having any plagiarism feeling : even Andrew Hulshult scored this one! Riffs, riffs and blood and more riffs! I could write tons of things to convince you, but you know what? If you have grown up like me, listening to Meshuggah and Fear Factory, you miss the first Quake (yeah the one with Reznor's soundtrack) after having played dozens of souless FPS, but you loved Doom (2016) and Eternal....THEN...this is the pixel butcher you was praying for! ALREADY A MASTERPIECE

Metro Exodus

Technologically advanced with huge flaws

I don't what to think. At first glance, the game is huge jump from old Metros: the story is better, or at lear better told, graphically it is amazing (and demanding too) but you might wonder, after having plater DooM Eternal, whether this is heavy artillery or rusty iron lacking optimization. You tell me... BUT, but, but, but....the game feels very clumsy. Let me explain...you start the game, put some hours on it so you can feel comfotable with mechanics and story, and suddenly you reach a location where you feel the game is flawed: jumping, moving, interacting starts to feel uncomfortable and lacking playbability. I reached a point, whare a foking X was marked on the map, so no doubt at all, where you should start diging, but the focking game was not interested at all to coperate with me, the user. Know what? I have tons of gigas of alternatives to have exiticing fun to suffer with this, because somebody decided the extra mile didn't worth the effort. Well it's too late for my money, but not for my time...

WRATH: Aeon of Ruin

Second Quake after the Quake!

What was the second one, you say!? Obviously, DARK! And now, thiw WRATH. This should not be something remarkable except because in more than 25 years nobody has really attempted to capture this atmosphere or type of gameplay. XXI century second decade has been defined by nostalgia, and considering this I must say it's weird to me to accept there are only two Quekish games so far. Good news?! You are going to enjoy this like hell! I don't know at which phase of development this is, I just clicked on BUY...you do the same, and will find an amazing game with cool above average level design, cool 90s graphics with todays power and lots, lots, lots of bullets and monsters to kill. Tonight I'm going to sleep like a baby and thank the earth to be alive today.
