The Sexy Brutale

If only there was more

A clever puzzle game, in which you relive the same day over and over, slowly trying to uncover secrets and map out the daily routine of the mansion's guests and servant in an attempt to save the day. Mysterious and clever, this one had me for the few hours it lasted and left me thinking three things: (1) "That was amazing" (2) "How did I not hear of this ealier?" (3) "Why is there not more of this?" 100% one of my favorite game concepts ever. If there were ever to be a sequel, it would be an instant buy for me. Nothing like it.

Kingdoms and Castles

Mindless builder

It didn't take a long time to realize that there is no more to this game than building a wall around the city. It is quite simple, requires little planning as is mostly just a struggle of patience in regards to resource gathering. At some point you realize what you're working towards, is making the game pointless - any future effort needless. It has endearing graphics and it is fun, but has little depth to it. If you just wanna build and don't wanna think too much about it, it's perfect. If you want just one deeper layer... Then look elsewhere. It's not bad, just a bit shallow.

To The Moon

Engaging and moving self-contained story

I was very happy with To The Moon. I came into this game with expectations that it would grip me in the feelings center and make me cry. Initially I thought it slightly intriguing and it's pop culture references quite amusing, but became sceptical about what it had to offer. I can honestly say it was baseless fears, as it soon after sucked me in and spat me out, having experienced an appropriately 4-5 hour long story completely satisfied. If you are ready to smile, laugh, cry, wonder, ponder, sigh and invest yourself as you unravel a life in reverse, then look no further. You've found it. My one reservation is a few gameplay elements that I think slow the game a bit at times and fon't really fit in. I can't go into detail, as it revolves around the plot, but know that it is minor and not a reason to swear off the game, at all!
