I was 12 years old and so this game for the first time at a friends place, he just got an AMIGA 500, I got a C64. When I so this game on the AMIGA 500, I knew I had to have the AMIGA 500 and the Game, 1 year and many news paper routs later I got the AMIGA 500 and the game. It is really great! You start with one of 4 persons, they have different skills. then you start in a province where you build your forces and move to a land to earn more gold to build up your army. If you try to attack a land where another person has taken it you can ether meet his main army or small troops. If you are unsure to take some land where the enemy is strong you can get Robin Hood to help, you can do that 3 times(you his help carefully). You need to be skilful and lucky to win, the game can sometimes be hard and other times easy, but it is never boring, you can do many things and enjoy the war against the castles. Here you need a catapult before you can attack and the more wall you get by aiming and removing the wall the easier the fight gets, but the defender still has the advantage. Normally I always got help from Robin Hood to attack a castle. You can have knights too, they cost more but are worth it, but in the start of the game by only normal troops, they only cost 1 and knights cost 8 I think with 15 for a Catapult. So wait to buy a catapult until you need to attack a castle. You only have one main army to move, but you can still have an army to defend a territory, but be careful to split up your troops. You can also go jousting and win land or fame, swordfight for a lady, there are mush fun in this game. The only flaw is it is to short of a game (good games are like that sometimes), 100 territories and more build up would be great. But in 1986 it was fantastic, nobody had seen anything like it and it sold over 1 million. Something a game had never done before at that time. The graphic is great on the AMIGA still today, so I say play it and enjoy! 5 Stars even after so many years it still keeps its worth.

I heard about this game from a GOG friend and I was thought it was a waist of time, but I normally try to find out if what my friend says is good. I so the information about this game and bought it (took a chance). This game is really good, It is long between the good gameplay games, the good old RPG. Like Pool of Radiance and Champions of Krynn plus many more of the good old games. You start in a island in old America in the 1500, where all you goods are confiscated and you need to prove yourself. The battles are nearly the same but only with 6 men/woman. I thought it was a bad idea first, but now I think it is really special to find away to get 6 of the group fighting together and how to find the best combination of your team. The way you explore is fun and it its one more move, just one more. You move around from place to place on road (fast move) or other terrain and each is special in defence and hunting or patrolling. Normally the AI is not good in many of the new games, but here you can change settings the way you want. Most of us gamers hate to play games where the AI cheats, but in this game you can set the AI to not make mistakes (then your team needs to be better or you need to be better in tactics) and that it without the AI gets better attack or defends (you can set that to if you want). I like to play the game as everyone is the same and get a challenge instead of a AI cheater. Enjoy the game and I hope I kept all the spoilers out of the Review.
