While some games in the collection, namely Underground Hangovers & Zen and the Art of Transhumanism, can be rather annoying to get through, the rest is genuinely beautiful and/or emotional. For me,De Tres Al Cuarto,The Bookshelf Limbo,11:45 A Vivid Life,Eternal Home Floristry and Dear Substance of Kin were the highlights. And of course, the music makes it all the better. I look forward to whatever these devs will make next, cause I know they'll make something beautiful again.
I believe this is my 4th time getting this game. I remember getting a retail copy as a gift from my dad and I also bought the Steam version and a copy of "Tomb Raider Ultimate Edition" many years ago. And now I got the GOG version as well, which I finished earlier today. I gotta say, despite some technical issues and bugs (for the love of god, turn on V-Sync and Triple Buffering if you don't want your game's physics to break), I still really love this game. It's my favourite in the Legend trilogy and in my opinion,it did the whole "edgy, serious and dark" story way better than the Reboot. Hopefully one day,we'll get more of this style of Tomb Raider again someday, instead of the Uncharted rip-off one. If not, then I hope that at least the Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light/Temple of Osiris spin-offs will get GOG releases.
I bought the game 2 days after it released and late last year,I also finally bought the soundtrack during the Christmas sales. I have no regrets. 100% worth every penny. Sure, some of the puzzles are rather difficult because they have moon logic solutions, but other than that, the game does most things pretty well. (Plus, the devs recently added the Story Mode difficulty, which I still have yet to try) The visuals, atmosphere and soundtrack are superb. The story is a very "typical" cyberpunk story, but the themes and writing surrounding it are what make the experience memorable. Nathan is also an interesting protagonist. He's not a goody-two-shoes like most other protagonists. No,he's a straight up jerk and without spoiling anything, the ending is rather fitting for him.
A very dear friend of mine gifted me this game on Steam a month after it came out back in 2017,I played through it and I absolutely loved it. I never played the original cause it didn't seem very interesting to me,but this game had me hooked. I love the Resident Evil games and I can definitely recommend EW2 to anyone who enjoyed Resident Evil 4,5,6 and the Revelations games, but didn't like RE7. Of course,I had to get the game again on GOG and I can say that it's worth every penny.
