I usually write pretty lengthy reviews about games. Rejoice! There isn't much to say about Unreal 2: The Awakening except that it's bit akward FPS, that feels good to play. It suffers greatly from, what I like to call, a Halo syndrome. Unreal 2 was released post-Halo and its design was influenced by Halo (among other titles) to a certain extent. Especially when the Unreal 2's version of the "Flood" makes an appearance. Unreal 2 also has fairly large optimization issues to this very day so don't expect it run perfectly. Unreal 2 also isn't this grand massive experience that will make you wow with disbelief of what you've just seen in the game, unlike the first Unreal. That said it's a decent shooter. And it's worth making a note that XMP component which is a multiplayer addon later released for this game is a very solid and alone a good reason to get Unreal 2. That said as long as you don't expect much out of the single-player campaign you'll be having great time playing Unreal 2.
