The only thing this game has really in common with first part is main character. She might look better due to better graphics, but the game mechanics from the original has been ruined. - first part had very freestyle and dynamic combat, here you can either try pulling the same few weak attacks until enemy is dead or just give up and feed on him until he dies - no challenge - guns are rather useless - all boss fights are the same and boring - first one had crazy and mad atmosphere involving psycho nazis taking over the world, here i think there is some boring vampire lord doing something evil, one does not even care - overall first game was fun, this one is ok to play through first episode, after that its boring and tedious as hell, i almost regret playing it till the end.
I bought this game outside GoG ages ago on some sale. It looked pretty cool and I love D&D. Was also interested in seeing how implementing D&D mechanics in RTS turns out. It turned out just OK... its kinda fun low-scale RTS with some RPG elements. A light game that is fun to play, but do not expect much. D&D is there, but it doesn't do that much "oh hey, those clerics use actual Cure Light Wounds! Cool.". The only really original thing is economy - resources sometimes drop from the sky as "shard rain" and everyone drops everything to run and collect them. Also dark elves seem super-cool, but there is no campaign for them :/ Thing game would be more memorable if they had add it.
