... this is Lara Croft. Not that wannabe from Crystal Dynamics or the newest sweetheart on Lost's island. And yet I I really loved that games not for the cool character of Lara, but for the puzzles - not the action. The mix was imho perfect: a lot of puzzles, quite some jumping and some shooting. The later parts shift more and more towards action. The rest is history ... it's a gem that started a unique franchise. Lara made ads for cars, appeared in a music video and she had her own magazine (with only one edition, unfortunately). Lara was everywhere for some time. Needless to say that it was fantastic, but the primitve polygon graphics may be disappointing for new players. But it was the first and smooth big 3D adventure you could play back then. Do as you want. I need to buy this edition now, let Lara grab her pistols and get that mythical item ... again. :)
